Party girls don't get hurt...

Warning: Spoilers
Selfie is officially canceled.

This is the next to last episode and I'm writing these lines after I saw the series finale which was incomplete and even sad.

I'm writing a separate review because of a great sequence near the end of the episode where Karen Gillan sings in a karaoke party a song I didn't know by then. Chandelier.

As I gather this song is original an electro-pop ballad and it considered a success by an Australian singer. I heard the original version and I wouldn't care much about it but...

...Eliza Dooley (Karen Gillan), a true party girl, now in love with Henry (John Cho) who deflects her emotions, is feeling sad. Despite the fact that most of the people at the party were expecting Eliza to sing a happy party song, she gets up there and sings an ACOUSTIC version (which is faaaar better) in a very emotional way.

Halfway the end of the song the editing showing Eliza trying to be her happy careless self and failing, overwhelmed by her emotions and is extraordinary.

I don't know the inspiration of the original song, but with the premise of Selfie, the lyrics, the emotional performance by Gillan, this scene really stands out and it is one of my all-time favourites.

Kudos! Too bad the series ended and with such a bad series finale.
