Moving on Up

Red is grabbed up, arrested in Hong Kong, and put on an oil derrick out in the ocean. When the crew comes to save him, they are captured. Ron Perlman plays Luther Braxton, a giant man who has a history with Red. The FBI people are put on stands with chains around their necks. They are intimidated by Braxton killing people in the room. Elizabeth manages to sneak away and hide out before the others are captured. She hooks up with Red and while they are preventing an explosion from a huge boiler, a network is breached and significant information becomes available to very bad people. The second half of this episode will be very interesting. Perhaps the best of the show so far.

Another great mid-season two-parter
foamythefearsome5 September 2022
A great, captivating story; well-crafted and with proper tension building. Braxton, the BBEG of these episodes, was a true villain not to be trifled with, especially in the first episode.

While a bit unclear at the start, Braxton's goal ties in very well with the season's story arc and the new main antagonist(s), and a lot of character depth is added to Elizabeth and her relationship and potential past with Reddington (especially in the second episode). Whereas it clears up a lot, it also brings new questions to keep you guessing.

Strong standalone story that fits the season very well. Review covers both this and the conclusion episode.
