• Catherine : [a woman's hand touches Daniels shoulder and the grim reaper appears behind Daniel]  Daniel? Daniel, Daniel! Wake up! He's coming!

  Grim Reaper : [Daniel points his gun at the Grim Reaper]  Daniel Garner. I have an offer for you.

  Daniel : Yeah? I have one, too! Die!

  [He shoots at the Grim Reaper but it doesn't affect him] 

  Grim Reaper : I'm afraid that's my line. But now. Do you want your Catherine back? I'll take you to her!

  Daniel : Right, I've heard that before.

  Grim Reaper : Collect seven legions of souls for me and you'll meet your beloved wife.

  Daniel : How can I be sure you're not lying like the others?

  [the grim reaper hands over a beat up doll to Daniel] 

  Grim Reaper : There are only two things in the world that are certain, and you're talking to one of them.

  Daniel : Yeah, and you're not the tax-collector.

  [the grim reaper upgrades Daniels gun to a chainsaw gun] 

  Grim Reaper : Seven thousand souls for your true love.

  Daniel : Why are you helping me?

  Grim Reaper : Because you are an abomination. In the battle with the Hell Lords you should have died a thousand time, but you're still alive. You don't belong here. You disrupt the equilibrium. Seven thousand souls Daniel! Then you'll find Catherine.

  [the grim reaper leaves and the game begins] 

• Daniel : [the opening scene shows Daniels abandoned hometown in ruins. It cuts to the car crash incident]  My name is Daniel Garner. I've been dead for so long that it's hard to remember who I really was. Not a very good person, that's for sure.

  Daniel : [Shows the knife stabbing and gun shooting scene flashback]  But someone like me gets a chance. For a moment in my life the light appeared...

  Daniel : [Daniel crashes into a statue and shatters his windshield and his car flips over]  That vanished so fast. We died... I don't know what happened to Catherine. She deserved a better place. I landed here.

  Daniel : [the scene shows the abandoned city crumbing and sinking underground around Daniel and he is sent to hell]  In the world between Heaven and Hell, I fought with the devil himself. They promised me that I'd join Catherine but it was all a lie. Angels and Demons tricked me, there is no way out of here. In Hell, there is no such thing as the end of pain. When you think it's over, the pain just gets worse.
