A Legitimate Review
Snootz4 March 2018
Although tempted to rate this 1 star to counteract an obviously "bought" review, I' doing the video justice and giving it 8 stars instead. It's well-done, the story line is interesting. It's entertaining throughout.

I count it down 2 stars for two reasons: 1) It's an "intro" video. I dislike it when they don't tell us they're intro videos. (An intro video is like a teaser, but longer.) 2) A plot glitch: why spend time, money, manpower and lives subjugating inhabited worlds when there are infinite uninhabited worlds with all the resources they could want?

But then, throughout history humankind has done stupid, horrendous things when they had viable alternatives, so I can't say the plot is totally off. It was just something that was unexplained.

All in all a well-done video that could have stood on its own without a hyped review.

Excelsior and Beyond!
guycolston23 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I've been an avid comicbook reader for fifty years. In all that time, the most intriguing storylines have delt with the notion of parallel Earths existing at different levels of technological advancement. I can truly say that this animated film short has found a way to breathe new life into an otherwise exploited topic. Bringing government conspiracy along for the ride is a timeless plot point, pardon the pun! By opening this tale with a fascinating glimpse of tech slightly more advanced then our own, the film grabbed my attention and refused to let go! The virtual assistants combined with the hover cycles and hover car struck a nerve with the gadget lover in me! This adventure had all the excitement of a Bond film but with a unique futuristic twist! In the immortal words of Oliver "please sir, can I have some more"!

Fun little adventure

I really enjoyed this - a quick escape from the everyday is always a good thing :) But then again, I always love a good parallel universe story. I liked the animation and the storyline was interesting and fun.

Nicely dialed in Sci-Fi escapist viewing

The way the entertaining story unfolds, it had me spinoff in wonderment for variations of what my parallel lives could 😳 turn out as well as people that I know.

I can see this eventually being expanded into new stories of adventure.

Classic Sagan and 80's classic golden age sci fi- the best type
johnpaulbusiness4 March 2023
This was great sci fi- the animation style looks a bit like Titan AE- which was average- but this graphic ensemble is awesome- the music the tone and the expressed loyalty to 80 classic age sci fi- I spend all my time searching for quality films and story like this.

Yes there are some plot mcguffins perhaps- and maybe not- there could be other intended backstory as part of this concept- the art style is truly awesome and it carries the viewers- there is a slight syd mead vibe that is sorely missing from much of modern cotten candy sci fi that really is not trying to capitalize on properties-

the themes like AI, a self contained time travel device unit- far advanced technology is palpable and left out of modern sci fi also so much so its criminal-

really hope to see this show expanded and become a full cartoon series.

Also great cast for the film- some of my favorite actors.

I felt like I was a kid again watching Johnny Quest and Aquaman

Jeffrey Morris is a talented director/writer. And his team that worked with him to create ParallelMan is also. The animation is extraordinary. I found myself feeling like I was a kid again, watching Johnny Quest and Aquaman.

more than nice

A nice trip across the memories about cartoon magazines of 1980 decade. Multiverse, loyal assistant, a misterious object and the honor of grandfather, dinosaurs and toxic mushrooms and pure adrenaline in futuristic adventures .

More than nice, an enjoyable trip in the womb of childhood , the emotions being not so different.
