Alicia's problems with the leaked emails are not over. Journalist Petra Moritz is preparing a fairly positive video report on Alicia until she gets an anonymous email with Alicia's hacked emails attached. Moritz sees the opportunity to get the SA-elect and it's left to Eli to pull out all of the stops to shut Moritz down. Meanwhile, the State's Attorney's office is investigating the detective who withheld evidence in Cary's criminal case. Specifically, investigator Andrew Wiley wants to know how the firm got the exculpatory email from Canada and were able to show the detective had opened it. Kalinda learns from Finn Polmar that any lawyer who presents manufactured evidence in court could be disbarred, even if they had no knowledge it was false. Wiley is good at his job and soon has the smoking gun. Elsewhere, Diane's new client, R.D. - and several of his friends - seek her advice on an appeal in a gay marriage case where a wedding planner refused to plan a wedding for a gay couple.
