The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out in Los Angeles last night (September 12), just a week ahead of the Andy Samberg-hosted Primetime Emmy Awards event.
HBO scooped the highest number of awards, with Game of Thrones and Queen Latifah's Bessie among the major winners.

At Monday's cocktail reception for Emmy nominees hosted by the Performers Peer Group of the TV academy, we chatted with Best Narrator contender Anthony Mendez ("Jane the Virgin") on the red carpet about his Emmy nomination and his being "heartbroken" over Gina Rodriguez's snub.
