Memories!
and_mikkelsen18 January 2024
This was a nice episode exploring BoJacks relationship with Herb as well as the rest of the "Horsin around cast"

It is clear that BoJack cant stop thinking about the last time he saw Herb and how that was his finale memory of him! He was reminded thst he was going to live with his mistake and of course.. thstsball he thinks about! I liked that he was searching for a meaning or something to rectify it! He has made some mistakes and wants to make it all great again!

That finale scene with him looking at the sunset, looking back at one last memory with Herb, was very meaningfull! So many layers of depth in this show!

Its all pointless when you die.. instead what lives on are peoples memories of you!

"There is no meaning in death"

Warning: Spoilers
Massively underrated episode. I loved seeing the Horsin Around cast back together as adults and seeing how they interacted. This episode was hilarious with just the right amount of emotion. Small lines from Sarah Lynn like, "I can tell. My step dad was a bear" or "My moms boyfriend homeschooled me. He's a photographer" always have me feeling extremely bad for her. But the best part of this episode is definitely the ending. After Bojack fails to give meaning to his friends death, he is told that, "there is no meaning in death. That's why it's so terrifying" and, "there's no shame in dying for nothing. That's why most people die" this episode deserves at least a 9 for those two quotes alone.

Just Give a Little Winkler
Hitchcoc2 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Herb dies and all are attending his funeral. The cast of Horsin' Around are irreverent and cruel. They have serious issues with drugs, anger, depression. Bojack is the sane one. He misses Herb and longs for the family, but he has led such a depraved life. Princess Carolyn tells whoppers about her supposed relationship with Herb. And Henry Winkler is the centerpiece, his character an absolute hoot. There is a treasure hunt which drags them all into exploring Herb's office for "gold."

Wow. That was masterpiece. The best episode of BoJack horse that I've ever seen. Jokes were hilariously ,the content was really deep by saying "There is no point in dying" it is totally true, there is only point in living. You're going to become just ashes nothing else after all.

Well honey, I assumed...

Bojack and the former cast of Horsin' Around attend a funeral.

This is a solid episode with some strong moments, both funny and dark.

The overall plot is quite a downer, not just because of the character death and associated existential themes, but also the relationship between certain characters due to their backstories. These are quite insightful characterisations and serve as a warning to people about how not to treat each other. Plenty humour comes out of it though, particularly some of the banter between the Horsin Around stars which is hilarious in certain one-liners.

Some of the subplots are reasonably good, but not particularly memorable. The scenes involving Todd are moderately funny for me. Princess Carolyn's situation is slightly better. It is one-joke, but the way it keeps spiralling and fits into the main plot is quite well done.

For me it's a 7.5/10, but I round upwards.

Weaker episode, but still enjoyable

This is one of the weaker BoJack Horseman episodes, but nevertheless it's still enjoyable. The most redeeming part of this episode had to he Todd, and how his ego got ruined by BoJack. Funny, but also deep.
