A great ending to an amazing season.

Warning: Spoilers
From the opening Mr. PeanutButter and Diane montage, to the Courtney Barnett song playing at the end, this episode has made me feel things that I never expected to feel in a show titled "Bojack Horseman". This episode has it all. Funny moments (the improv "fight" on the cruise ship), touching moments (Bojack telling Todd how he felt while escaping the ship), and in the end, hopefulness. This episode proves how Bojack can be one of the best shows on TV (well, Netflix) while also being one of the most ridiculous as well (I'm not counting adult swim, mind you). This is an extremely satisfying ending to a great season. I tip my hat to the writers, well done.

Season 2 Review
IPyaarCinema13 November 2020
Review By Kamal K

Intelligently funny and charmingly multi dimensional, bojack horseman has more to offer than initially meets the eyes.

Picking up where season one left off, BoJack Horseman S2 dives right back in with powerful examinations of the human condition, offering hard hitting observations and a steady stream of laughs in equal measure. They have a formula that works, using the standard cartoon-sitcom hi-jinks to explore the relationships and personal lives of the main cast, warts and all. This season sees the leads confronted by their fears - of being unloved, of taking a leap, of stagnation; I could go on - and examines the ways the characters deal with them, alone or together, healthily or otherwise. Despite their efforts the characters often fail, but there is an undercurrent of hopefulness that implores them to not give up and to continue fighting, even as the next failure is imminent and probably avoidable. Growth through and in spite of our pains and fears are themes that hit me pretty hard, as it might for most viewers who no doubt face these universal, deeply human hardships. The heaviness of the proceedings is given balance by the jokes, of which there are so many that they can be tough to catch before the next one is passing you by (which is a good incentive for repeat viewing). The writers achieve a perfect tonal balancing act, never skewing too far towards depressive or manic. The drama gives the show the claws it needs to tear into our hearts, while the humor helps soften that blow just enough so that we can laugh at and learn from what we are seeing, both in the exploits of the on-screen characters and in ourselves. BoJack Horseman S2 is an incredible piece of television that evokes laughter and invites introspection - viewers would do well to partake in both.

A great way to end things!

This was a nice finale that wrapped up the storylines in an emotional and satisfying way!

This season was a lot about hapinness and what gives you meaning in life and a reason to get out of bed in the morning.. and not just lie there thinking everything is pointless!

It took some time, but BoJack ended up realizing what truely made him happy! I guess sometimes you want something else to make you happy, blinding yourself to what truely makes you happy and what matters!

Great scene with him and Todd that perfectly shows their relationship!

I loved the stuff with Princess Carolyn too! Her saying she is not afraid of being alone really hit me! Great moment!

Season 2: A little weaker on the characters in the first half, but still consistently amusing, engaging, and entertaining
bob the moo22 January 2017
I enjoyed the first season of this show because, while it had class and a lot to offer, it also seemed uninterested in being cleanly defined or put in a box. It is funny, but for the most part it is not the type of funny that it looks like it will be; it has characters who are flawed and on journeys, but it is not some uptight drama delivering 'actorly' material. It also mixes animal and human characters in a wider world which is equally mixed, but yet it is never silly or feels forced.

Season 2 continues this and all the strengths of the first season are here. They are not quite as strong in some ways though; in particular I felt too many episodes didn't really build or reveal character, so much as just play out characters in a scenario – sometimes a silly one. In these episodes it is still funny and entertaining, but just that character aspect not being there as I would have liked. The backend of the season is better at this than the first half, and it gives more time to the tragic and the broken, which I enjoy and feel gives the show more about it. The voice work is consistently good, but the part of that which I enjoy the most is that I rarely lose the character in the famous actor. More often than not it is only in the end credits where I remember/realize how many famous actors are involved here. This season it was only Ricky Gervais where it didn't work for me – but for some reason that is often the case with him.

Another enjoyable season, which is so across several aspects.

What an outstanding episode!!!
swtnria29 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This one was merely epic.

Bojack's orphanage speech that was full of magnificent and redempting sincerity.

Princess Carolyn's hilariously cynical joke on orphans that grow up to be serial killers.

The rabbit's outrageous behavior, deceiving Princess Carolyn without any remorse, lying about getting a divorce from his wife and then even having the audacity to grossly insult her and deliberately try to make her feel sad in an attempt to gain power over her...

And above all, Princess Carolyn's blunt admission that she compulsively takes care of other people when she doesn't know how to take care of herself.

Oh God, this was not an episode, it was pure psychological and philosophical apocalypsis.

Less Hope
Hitchcoc22 April 2021
As Bojack sails through life, he continues to be rewarded for doing nothing significant. In this final episode of Season 2, he finds he inadvertently had an orphanage built, the finished the Secretariat picture and gave him credit, even though he did nothing (they photoshopped his head). He rescues Todd from the improv group because he's the only one who loves him unconditionally. Such depression.

There is still hope for Bojack and for that matter for everyone

Warning: Spoilers
Bojack realizes his mistakes and tries to get better. He knows he is loosing Todd. For the first time ever, He shows vulnerability to Todd and starts sharing small details about him in a desperate attempt to ask him stay. After accomplishing that, he feels the power to go after what he wants but never had the guts to go after it. He starts jogging for fun to improve himself. This episode displays the good side in Bojack that is still alive.

Princess Caroline is as strong as ever. She is the glow of the group to hold them together. She simply does not give up and always finds a way even to make the right decisions on her own.

In the most Bojack Horseman style and in the most chaotic and random way, Diane faces her fear of confronting Mr. Peanut Butter accidentally, faces the reality and finally puts her mistakes behind her.

In a way everyone is finding a way through all the suffering to get better. And this Episode shows there is always HOPE for everyone. No matter how damaged.

Well it was much better ending of season 2 than season 1. I believe we will see BoJack changed in good way in season 3.

Strong finish
snoozejonc10 February 2024
Bojack returns to Los Angeles, whilst Todd gets more involved with the improv cult.

This is a funny episode with some good character moments.

After the heavy moments depicted in 'Escape from LA' it is good to see one with more of an emphasis on the satire around the improv/Scientology send up that is Todd's latest adventure. I know people involved in performing arts who take improvisational skills very seriously so this is great fun. The writers worked BoJack nicely into it at the end and offer a much needed glimmer of hope.

Some of the material relating relating to Princess Carolyn's situation and in particular the orphanage is good too.
