- [to A in a video message]
- Caleb Rivers: I don't know who you are or what kind of game you think you're playing, but guess what? If you can change the rules, so can we. Goodbye.
- Hanna Marin: [early morning, in kitchen] Ugh. You're making a lot of noise, and none of it sounds like an omelet.
- Jordan Hobart: The car will be here in five. We overslept.
- Hanna Marin: I wish we went to bed earlier.
- Jordan Hobart: What fun is a sleepover... if we actually slept?
- Spencer Hastings: [coffee in bed] Be careful. I could get used to this.
- Caleb Rivers: Honestly, I just wanted to, uh, make sure you were fully awake.
- Spencer Hastings: For what?
- [smiles]
- Caleb Rivers: I think we need to go to the cops with these new texts.
- Spencer Hastings: I'm awake.
- Caleb Rivers: I mean, if we really are back to square one with A...
- Spencer Hastings: Mm-mm. We don't know for sure if this is an A. I don't know, that trash can of black hoodies felt like someone was saying that all the rules are changed. And all we know for sure is that this A isn't Charlotte. It could be anybody. Anywhere. Hiding in plain sight.
- Caleb Rivers: As in Sara Harvey? I mean, do you really think that it is her hiding behind all those evil emojis?
- Spencer Hastings: I don't know. She can't really type that well.
- [shrugs]
- Spencer Hastings: Maybe a picture is easier for her to send.
- [sighs]
- Spencer Hastings: I'm starving. Can we have anything?
- Caleb Rivers: Yeah, I've got a little something. You want a refill?
- Spencer Hastings: Yes, please.
- [hands over her empty mug]
- Caleb Rivers: Hey, what about Ezra? Couldn't he clear this up? Anybody heard from him?
- Spencer Hastings: No. My guess is that he left town to avoid telling us what he knows.
- Caleb Rivers: I mean, I'm not saying you need to build an airtight case... We could just go to Toby.
- Spencer Hastings: [quickly] No. Caleb, he's... finally happy. He's moved on. I don't wanna throw this in his path. At least not until we have more than a few snarky emojis from an unlisted number and a photo of an alleged murder weapon.
- Caleb Rivers: I guess you're right. I mean, we're talking about Aria's dad. You know, it's like, if he did it, he did it to protect her.
- Spencer Hastings: If we were to get this golf club, Sara couldn't hold it over our heads. And we really could go to the cops about her.
- [her watch beeps]
- Spencer Hastings: It's a calendar alert. I have lunch with Gil? I really don't remember scheduling that. My God, this election is totally eating up my brain.
- [checks:]
- Spencer Hastings: Oh, my God, I have endless e-mails. And then I have that strategy session this afternoon. And I have to make those campaign calls.
- Caleb Rivers: [behind her, stroking her hair] Yeah, I've been pretty distracted the last few days, too.
- Spencer Hastings: I might... be slightly distracted.
- Caleb Rivers: Is this distracting you?
- Spencer Hastings: Mm. No. No, I could probably just... get a few e-mails done if you have to continue.
- Caleb Rivers: Yeah.
- [chuckles, kisses her neck]
- Caleb Rivers: What about this?
- Spencer Hastings: That's slightly more distracting.
- [not much work will get done here now]
- Hanna Marin: Hey, you can't talk to people like that, Claudia.
- Claudia: Hanna... dear... You're really stressing me out. Why don't we, uh, end things on a high note? On your way out, you can get me some gum.
- Hanna Marin: Get your own damn gum, Claudia. There's a pack in your desk.
- Claudia: Excuse me?
- Hanna Marin: Two in your briefcase, two in your purse,
- [shakes her head]
- Hanna Marin: and a whole stash in your bedside table. I do everything you ask me to do, and then some. And all you do? You just pick me apart and send me on a thousand different ridiculous errands.
- Claudia: Weren't you the girl who came marching in here with a five year plan? Well, if you leave now, you're gonna be starting again - at the bottom. Apologize. And maybe I'll consider keeping you on. As second assistant.
- Hanna Marin: Is that the best you've got? If you're trying to scare me into staying,
- [shakes her head]
- Hanna Marin: you're gonna have to do way better.
- Claudia: There's a line of girls just waiting to take your place.
- Hanna Marin: Fine. Let them. I've been pushed around by a lot worse than you.
- [heads straight for door, leaves without looking back]
