This role is nothing but a frustrating distraction. It almost like she is working against Perez and justice. In every investigation she tries to derail Perez.

B Slasher Movie with a TWIST
Warin_West-El23 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was a frustrating B grade slasher movie until with 3:30 seconds left it did an abrupt twist and turned into an incredibly ingenious plot.
Sara Vickers plays the maddening Leanne Randall who makes a career out of doing everything she's told not to do. This character was SO frustrating to watch, when Michael Maguire confronts Leanne all alone, I found myself yelling at the screen, "Kill her."
And then, in a blink of an eye she IS killed . . . But not by Michael. WOW, I didn't see THAT coming. But then it didn't end there. The next thing we know, MICHAEL'S being chased by an assassin.
I was completely fooled. Although most of this episode was rather tedious, the last three minutes were KILLER - literally!

Late to the game discovering Shetland, what an absolutely brilliant crime drama. This episode is where it stepped up its game! You think you know who/what/why only for the rug to pull it out from under you! Brilliant writing, location and acting!
