Amy finds out, is locked in, goes mad and frames Robert for murder by killing herself. Catherine rewards her domestic lover Christophe -and buys his discretion- by admission to the King's Guard. Leith finally gets Claude to make love. Regent Narcisse decides to marry off to a wealthy Duke, so her dowry can be used to pay some of the French crown's debts.
