- Alicia, Cary, and Louis all oppose each other in a case involving driverless cars. Things become awkward at home when Peter is forced to stay to keep up appearances. Alicia is in an awkward position in her first Election Committee vote.
- Alicia and Lucca join a case involving an automotive executive represented by Lockhart, Agos and Lee, and an employee represented by Louis Canning, who was involved in a crippling accident while test-driving a car operating in "driverless" mode. Also, when Ruth and Eli pursue Courtney Paige (Vanessa Williams), a potential campaign contributor, Peter moves back in with Alicia to present a united family image.
- Louis Canning is suing a car manufacturer because their new state of the art car which is automated, struck someone crippling her. The manufacturer is represented by Diane and Cary. Also being sued is the employee who was test driving the car when it struck the woman, who is also being represent by Diane and Cary. Canning convinces him that he needs to get his own attorney. So he hires Alicia. Both the manufacturer and the driver try to pin the blame on each, the manufacturer saying that the driver made a mistake while the driver says something was wrong with the car because of a modification. But it's in the midst of this that the man who designed the car comes in and gives his opinion saying that the car was OK but the manufacturer made the modification that the driver said. Ruth and Eli are trying to get a wealthy woman to contribute to the campaign. And Peter moves in with Alicia to appear that they're united. And Alicia serves on the election committee and is the deciding vote on a sensitive issue. The men who are on both sides tries to get her to vote their way.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
