The Hapless Tramp
Popular comic actor Ken'ichi Enomoto stars as a tramp who wanders into a rich neighborhood. There he is led by Meiko Nakamura to a mansion where there is a large German shepherd. They all mak friends, and Enomoto becomes friends with the girls family. But complications ensue, especially when he invites other tramps to the mansion, the dog captures a murderer, and Miss Nakamura goes missing.
You wouldn't know there is a war going on, with clips from Claire's QUARTORZE JULLIET, a poster for PARNELL, and everyone seeming to be happy to travel by concrete pipe. Enomoto and his Enoken troupe had a long movie career from 1934-1962. I look forward to seeing more of his amusing, hapless antics.
