When Nina rewinds the camcorder the first time, a small bobbing devil's head can briefly be seen. This is a reference to the fortune telling machine in the original Twilight Zone episode "Nick of Time (1960)," starring William Shatner, which also took place in a diner.
The motel Nina and her son stay in is the "Old Cadwallader Inn." Mr. Cadwallader (The Devil) appeared in the original series episode "Escape Clause (1959)" played by Thomas Gomez.
The "Blurryman" from Blurryman (2019), who is a white male in a black suit, appears among the crowd of black students and parents when the main trio emerge from the sewers. He is seen smoking a cigarette and resembles Rod Serling.
The brand name on the camcorder is Whipple; this is also the brand of MP3 player from the previous episode, "Nightmare at 30,000 Feet (2019)." It's also a reference to the original Twilight Zone episode, "The Brain Center at Whipple's (1964)"
There is a label "DIX A LA PROPRIETAIRE" (french for "ten to the owner") on the camcorder, as was on the camera in A Most Unusual Camera (1960). The magic camera took pictures of the future and would work up to ten times for its new owner.
