Well written low budget thriller that makes the most of a claustrophobic NY apartment set
aarpcats6 October 2021
It doesn't take long for the action to start or the paranoia to begin in this Everyman Millennial Nightmare. It's slow, it's steady and it is creepy.

Ignore the crap ratings and give it a look.

started slow

The film started real slow as the pacing was boring but it soon picked up in the middle as so is the acting, I must say, and it ended strong, gave it a 5 because of the boring start and somehow underwhelming peformance of the actors but the story is good, in some ways.

overall, I would not recommend this if you get bored easily., but if you have patience, give it a try!

Well I enjoyed it.

It's not big budget, but kept me watching.

Pleasantly surprised!

Basically the room as a mystery

Ok first the dude can't even Ollie second the scene interacting is probably the funniest thing I've seen since Lorne avedon in no retreat no surrender 3 blood brothers the plot is actually kinda good but the execution is where the hilarity ensues highly recommended if you're looking for something to laugh at

BETTER THAN MANY "BLOCKBUSTERS" I'VE SEEN!

DIRECTER/WRITER ANDREW LYMAN-CLARKE DESERVES KUDOS, ALONG WITH SETH PANMAN FOR THIS GREAT FILM! I find it condescending when any critic says "it was good for an indie", because I've wasted my time & money on many Hollywood blockbusters with big names that really fell flat! I measure a film based on it's entertainment value. When I truly enjoy a movie, I watch the closing credits out of respect for EVERYONE involved in the production! I did that tonight & immediately enjoyed a 2nd viewing 😀! Overly harsh, amateur reviewers probably lack the creativity, tenacity and ability to fundraise for the sake of their project! I'd like to see them achieve 1/10th the quality I saw in this fine film! CHEERS!

extremely good considering budget level

Its a film about a disease, and the hunt for the main source. there are emergency management involved a the cdc are connected to the case, but not the way things wouldve happened in real life. and that is why its just an 8 on my star meter.

its a frantic search and find flick, with loads of flashbacking, and flashing symptoms of the disease, that may feel interruptive, and in the end there are a few unanswered questions on the who why what basis. therefore i do expect a sequel to this mystery drama sometime in the near future.

anyway, technically the film are well managed, its well plotted and fastpaced, and therefore not boring. the acting by the main male are very good.

as i said, it is on a low budget, so dont expect a high temp hollywood hot zone movie. its a nice attempt thinks the grumpy old ma. its a recommend

Great flick. Never got boring. Great job by actors, crew and writers.

There were some exterior clips that were gorgeous. Very well put together. The pace of the movie kept interest through out the whole movie.

A Decent Mystery/Thriller, Good Suspense.

I love low-budget movies, they often are just as good, or better than their big0budget counter parts. "Night Sweats" is a solid mystery film revolving around a mysterious illness, and eve if you guess some of the plot twists, it is well-paced, and intriguing throughout, and sadly, although made 3yrs ago, is a good commentary on our current issues with pharmaceutical companies run amuck. You know, like with what's going on with the still experimental MRNA shots, facilitated by our overlords and beauracratic agencies.

I thought the illness itself and how it manifest was very well-done, and again, the mystery revolving around it was pretty solid. The music was pretty good, the sound is well-done, the cinematography looks a little cheap a times, but is still decent, no poor lighting.

The lead in "Night Sweats" does a solid job, most of the acting is at least average, the only subpar performance being the buff dude who keeps showing up at the scene of those who are sick. He was a little over the top.

A good solid 6.5 star movie, it is above average, and kept me interested until the very end. I did care for the lead character as well, and had empathy for his plight. The ending strains credibility as well, but I cannot say why without ruining some major plot points, I'll just say that it involves something the female character wears and how it plays into the ending, it just would not work that way in reality. O.o Up to that point, I felt the film was fairly realistic, if a bit silly at times in terms of how easy it was for the lead to integrate himself into the company "True Healing".
