The film was nominated for 5 awards in "The New Classic Cinema Festival" in Seattle and won 1. Takis Papamattheou won in the Best Supporting Actor category, whilst Ioannis Makropoulos was nominee in the other four categories as director, producer and actor (Best Long Short Film, Best Innovative Film, Best Directorial Debut, Best Leading Actor)
In the Piraeus Film Festival 2017, "For Electra's Love" won the Audience Award for Best Film.
Takis Papamattheou, a famous Greek actor especially for comedy supporting roles in theater, was the first acting teacher in drama school of the then 17-year-old Ioannis Makropoulos. Six years later, the student was directing his own teacher in a collaboration which was the first film of Makropoulos (giving him several nominations and an award) and gave the first international acting award to Papamattheou's long and successful acting career.
In its World Premiere in Philippines, at the "ichill Film Festival 2016" the film got nominated in the Best Actress category.
