Taylor Swift now has more than 30 songs to choose from for her concerts, so she’s keeping herself interested – and fans on the edge of their seats – with a few changes to the setlist for her record-breaking Eras Tour.
Friday night saw her take to the stage for her second evening in Paris, where she surprised fans with My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys – from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department – and also a mash up of two songs from her 1989 album, Is It Over Now? and Out of the Woods.
While some fans in the crowd expressed their delight at the new material, others were left dismayed by what had to go to make room for the new stuff in the three-hour show.

Deadline’s Most Valuable Blockbuster tournament is back. While studios during Covid wildly embraced the theatrical day-and-date model when cinemas were closed, they soon realized there’s nothing more profitable than a theatrical release and the downstreams that come with it. If anything, theatrical is the advertisement for a movie’s longevity in subsequent home entertainment windows. Entering the conversation in 2023 were the streamers, such as Apple, who have also realized the necessity of theatrical to eventize their movies. The financial data pulled together here for Deadline’s Most Valuable Blockbuster Tournament is culled by seasoned and trusted sources.

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” has entered its streaming era, now available to watch exclusively on Disney+. The concert film, which arrived in theaters Oct. 13, 2023, includes even more content than the theatrical version, which already captures the three-plus hours of show that Swift puts on.
After its launch in theaters, the film was available as a digital rental in December on Swift’s birthday, the 13th. The digital version included performances of three extra songs: “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer,” and “Long Live” on set.
But the Disney+ version of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” includes an additional four secret songs. Good Morning America led a countdown to the film’s arrival on Disney+ by teasing three of these four songs — “Maroon,” “Death by a Thousand Cuts” and “You Are in Love (Taylor’s Version).”

“Midnights” fans, rejoice: “Maroon” is one of the four bonus acoustic songs included in the Disney+ version of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.”
At the end of a trailer Disney+ dropped on Monday, the first few notes of “Maroon” can be heard, revealing that the track is one of the surprise acoustic songs included in the concert film’s streaming edition.
“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is also debuting on Disney+ one day earlier than previously planned, on March 14 at 6 p.m. Pt.
It was first announced in February that Disney+ would exclusively stream the box-office hit, with Puck reporting that the deal was worth over $75 million. At the time, it was also revealed that the expanded version would include the “Folklore” track “Cardigan,” as well as four acoustic songs. This was a big deal for Swift fans, as five songs from the regular setlist were cut for time in the 2-hour-and-45-minute movie.

Disney is paying more than $75 million to the singer-songwriter-entrepreneur to exclusively stream “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version),” on Disney+ worldwide, according to Puck News, citing anonymous sources. Per the report, Disney outbid Netflix and Universal Pictures (which handled digital/VOD distribution for the film) for the streaming rights.
Disney has declined to comment on the streaming deal for “The Eras Tour,” which will include five songs not in previous versions of the movie. A rep for Swift did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” after its wide theatrical premiere Oct. 13, raked in $261.7 million at the global box office — making it the highest-grossing concert film to date. The film was shot at the first three L.A. shows of the Eras tour from Aug. 3-5, 2023. The 2-hour-and-45-minute theatrical release omitted several songs from the performances.

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” is coming exclusively to Disney+ — and the concert film will include five songs that were not available in the theatrical or digital versions.
The newly expanded version of “The Eras Tour” will hit Disney+ worldwide on March 15, 2024. Among the bonus songs included on the streamer will be “Cardigan,” from Swift’s 2020 album “Folklore.” The release date of the film on Disney+ was announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger on the company’s earnings call — but he didn’t say what the additional songs are. “‘The Eras Tour’ has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences whenever they want, exclusively on Disney+,” Iger said in a statement.

Taylor Swift is starting off 2024 with yet another historic milestone under her belt.
Following the release of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” to United States theaters on October 13, Swift’s movie is officially the highest-grossing film in box office history among concert and documentary films with more than $261.6 million earned globally. The feat comes a week after “The Eras Tour” opened in China, with a tally of $8.7 million following its debut on December 31.
Among concert films, “The Eras Tour” becomes the highest-grossing ever, unseating previous record holder “Michael Jackson’s This Is It,” which opened in 2009 and grossed $261.2 million at the global box office.
Of course, much of the total gross can be attributed to its record-breaking opening weekend. Upon release in October, “The Eras Tour” made $92.8 million in North America and $30.7 million internationally for a cumulative total of $123.5 million, making it the biggest start of all time for a concert film.

Taylor Swift met with the family of her fan who died ahead of her first Eras Tour stop in São Paulo on Nov. 17.
Before kicking off her final show in the Brazilian city on Sunday, the Grammy winner took some time to get to know the family of Ana Clara Benevides Machado. They posed for a photo with Swift in matching shirts featuring a photo of Machado. A video shared on social media also showed the family in the VIP section during the concert’s closing night in the South American country.
According to reports, the 23-year-old Swift fan died after going into cardiac arrest, likely due to the country’s heat wave last weekend.
Organizer T4F (Time for Fun) shared a statement in Portuguese, which was translated to English by E News!, sharing that Machado “felt unwell and was promptly attended to” by first responders and was eventually...

Put on a pot of Frappuccino for the Swifites: Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” concert film will be even longer on streaming than it was in theaters.
The theatrical version of “Eras” has a runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes. That’s not exactly “Oppenheimer” (3 hours), but it is longer than “Napoleon”. When the concert movie debuts on paid streaming on December 13, it will be exactly three songs longer; welcome to the party, “Wildest Dreams,” “Long Live,” and “The Archer.”
When reached, a spokesperson for Universal Pictures Home Entertainment told IndieWire the streaming version of the film has a runtime of 181 minutes, or 12 minutes more than the theatrical cut. The math makes sense: “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” clocks in at 3 minutes and 40 seconds, “The Archer” is 3:31, and “Long Live” runs 5 minutes and 17 seconds. (That last one will be both “long” and “live” — though of course Swift’s “Live...

The "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" concert film is one of the biggest surprises of 2023 -- a movie that forewent a traditional theatrical distribution deal, with Swift going directly to theaters instead. The result has been a box office juggernaut, a record-breaking cinematic event, and a movie that had people debating what proper movie theater etiquette is for concert films.
And, unsurprisingly, the movie is very good. As Mike Shutt put it in his review for /Film, "Taylor Swift has put on a show here that really should be seen, whether you are a die-hard Swiftie or just know the chorus to 'Shake It Off.'" Indeed, the "Eras Tour" concert film is simply spectacular, an electrifying musical experience that shows Taylor Swift's evolution as an artist. Even more than that, it is simply a stunning display of showmanship. Move over Hugh Jackman, there's a new "Greatest Showman" (and...

Taylor Swift’s hot-topic relationship with Kansas City Chiefs’ player Travis Kelce just became stage official.
On Saturday night, Swift performed her word song “Karma” for a crowd of fans in Buenos Aires off her January 2023 album, Midnights.
Swift made some alterations to a previously much-beloved lyric about her former boyfriend actor, Joe Alwyn, “Karma is the guy on the screen, coming straight home to me.”
With a laugh, she sang “Karma’s the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”
Fans who captured the video were quick to post it across social media, which included one onlooker’s lucky capture of Kelce’s reaction from the VIP section. He was accompanied by Swift’s father, Scott Swift, who sported a Chiefs lanyard as he applauded the reference.

The Eras Tour has been harder to get tickets for than just about any concert event in recent memory. Taylor Swift certainly knows how to pack them in, and the tour has become so popular that the singer has created a movie version of Eras concerts so fans who missed out on the chance to see her live can still enjoy the show.
“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” brings the cultural phenomenon to life on screen. The film features every song from the tour’s standard set list, with the exceptions of “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer,” “Invisible String,” “Cardigan” and “‘Tis the Damn Season.” The movie is only available in theaters, but you can click here to get tickets.

Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” concert film premiered Wednesday night to an enthusiastic crowd of celebrities, fans and of course Taylor’s team, with the star of the film in attendance. As one of the first to see the film, TheWrap has the scoop on which songs from the wildly popular tour made the film, and which songs were cut.
After making speeches in multiple auditoriums for separate audiences, Swift, clad in a sky blue floral-patterned dress (probably in theme for “1989 (Taylor’s Version) with her hair pinned up like the signature bob she had when that album first came out), sat back to enjoy the experience in one of the IMAX screening rooms with her background vocalists and publicist Tree Paine.
The documentary runs 2 hours and 48 minutes, slightly shorter than Swift’s three-hour setlist and performance, which she has brought to 17 of the United States so far in addition to Mexico.

You probably don’t need this review to tell you if you’ll enjoy Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour as a movie. You can surely already guess, based on how much you enjoyed (or think you might have enjoyed) Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour as a concert. Because this movie is exactly no more and no less than what it says on the tin: a filmed version of Swift’s record-breaking show, captured over three performances in Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. Aside from a few onstage “bloopers” over the closing credits, there’s next to nothing in the way of supplementary material — no interviews, no behind-the-scenes footage, no commentary on what any of this means.
But what a concert it is — and what an experience it makes, even in the relatively modest confines of a movie theater.
As has been exhaustively documented over the past seven months, the Eras Tour...

Taylor Swift’s sure-to-be-blockbuster The Eras Tour concert film is getting some early raves.
With the film opening Friday, with early screenings Thursday night, the first batch of reviews for Swift’s three-hour movie are rolling in from its Los Angeles premiere that was held Wednesday night. While there’s only seven reviews so far, the film has an early 100 percent “fresh” score on Rotten Tomatoes.
“Audience members sang along and danced in the aisle and cheered so loudly I often couldn’t tell where the roar of the crowd onscreen ended and the roar of the crowd in the theater began,” writes The Hollywood Reporter. I ended the movie exhausted from all the sensory overload.”
“Though it isn’t possible for a movie to take the place of a live concert, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour comes as close as possible, less because of how the movie is captured...
