It Takes a Village: The Making of Village of the Damned (2016)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Director John Carpenter, producer Sandy King and various cast members are brought together to discuss VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED, the 1995 remake, which didn't do too well at the box office but over the years its reputation has grown. Clocking in at 49 minutes this here certainly goes into very good detail about how the project came to Carpenter and he openly discusses what he wanted to do with it. From here we get to talk with several of the actors including Thomas Dekker, Cody Dorkin, Lindsey Haun, Karen Kahn, Meredith Salenger and Michael Pare. They each discuss how they ended up getting their roles as well as discussing what it was like to work with Carpenter and Christopher Reeve. Carpenter tells some very good stories throughout but a good portion of the running time is devoted to the (then) children. If you're a fan of the film then you'll certainly want to check this out.
