- TriviaWhen Winn is listing Mon-El's main powers, they are identical to the initial powers of Superman in his earliest comics, right down to the "leap over a tall building in a single bound" phrase. Superman's ability to fly was invented by Fleischer Studios, who made a series of 17 "Superman" theatrical animated shorts from 1941 to 1943.
- Quotes
Winn Schott: We're gonna need a bigger block.
Mon-El: This is awe and some.
Winn Schott: No, it... It's just "awesome." You got to put those two words together and you'll be golden.

What I really love about this season of Supergirl is the continued dedication to character development. Tonight's episode didn't necessarily fix the glaring villain problem on the show, but it definitely shined in the character development department. If for nothing else, this was a great episode about different people with different viewpoints and backgrounds trying to connect with one another.
It was an episode of odd couples as we got to see the duo of Kara & Mon-El, Hank & Miss Martian, Maggie & Alex, and even a scene of Mon-El and Winn. All had a fair share of goodness, but I found myself most interested in Hank's attempt at bonding with Miss Martian. It was the first time we have seen Hank in any sort of positional of weakness as he knows she is the only remaining person of his kind. It's hard not to root for the guy.
It was revealed that she was a part of the underground fighting ring run by a woman named Veronica Sinclair, AKA Roulette. Sure, this whole idea reminded me of the ring in X-Men Apocalypse earlier this year, but I welcome a different villain for this show, especially someone who Kara can't really punch her way through.
Accompanying Supergirl and Alex in these scenes was Maggie Sawyer once again, who's quickly becoming my favorite character on this show. There's something so refreshing about a bada** without powers on this show, and one who can do it in style as well. Which is something Alex seemed keen about, but sadly Maggie is already taken. Even though CW doesn't have the strongest of resumes when it comes to romances, I feel like Maggie and Alex will be a romance that I care about.
I'm not entirely sure what the heck the last scene means. Is Miss Martian completely faking it? Or is that creature just holding her hostage somewhere and disguising himself in her place? No matter, I found myself enjoying tonight's episode a lot, and all of the duo's it presented.
+Hank in a vulnerable position
+All of the duos had some interesting scenes
+Roulette was different
-But she just wasn't all that interesting
-Strange Martian twist at the end
8.2/10
