Quotes
-
Merilee : [while scuba diving] I can't believe we finally got ourselves a vacation.
Stephanie (Steffy) : Yeah. Even Mr. Socrates can't reach us down here.
Butch Cassidy : And just to be sure he doesn't buzz us, I left my radio ring topside.
Wally : Uh-oh. We got a visitor.
[a man swims down to the Sundance Kids and holds up a card]
Wally : [reads card] "Bzzzzz"?
[the man turns the card around]
Butch Cassidy : [reads other side of card] "Call Mr. Socrates." Ah, I guess there's no hiding place, even down here.
-
Wally : Hi, Dotty. Is Mr. Socrates in?
Dotty : [giggles] Oh, Wally, what a put-on you are! Oh, is Mr. Socrates in? Ha ha ha! Did you hear that, kids?
Butch Cassidy , Stephanie (Steffy) , Merilee : [unamused] We heard.
-
Butch Cassidy : Merilee, how about breaking open Mr. Socrates' envelope now?
Stephanie (Steffy) : Yeah, I'd like to find out what's in that secret paper we're supposed to pick up on the train.
Wally : Personally, I could live without that information, but I don't know about vice versa.
-
Butch Cassidy : Kids, this is one of the most important and dangerous missions we've ever undertaken.
Wally : Please! Don't ever mention "danger" and "undertaking" in the same breath!
-
Butch Cassidy : Socrates sounded strange, didn't he?
Wally : Could be he has a cold.
Stephanie (Steffy) : How can a computer get a cold?
Wally : Well, he sneezes when Elvis is around.
-
Wally : [looks at the menu] Now, let's see what they have for appetizers. Hmm. "Pi r-squared over 3 to the x power. 50 Francs." That's darn cheap, but what is it?
[Butch kicks Wally's leg]
Wally : Ouch! Hey, what's the big idea?
[continues reading]
Wally : Let's see. "mc2 over the log of five." Mmm-mmm. "150 francs."
[Merilee and Butch kicks Wally's legs]
Wally : Yeow! What are you guys trying to do? Disconnect my shinbone from my... Oh... Oh, boy! You mean... th-this isn't... uh, th-this isn't...
Butch Cassidy , Merilee : No!
Wally : You mean, this is... this is...
Butch Cassidy : Yes! And let's get out of here with it!
-
Butch Cassidy : Sundance to Socrates. Come in, Socrates.
Mr. Socrates : Socrates receiving. Come in, Butch.
Butch Cassidy : Can you verify orders to turn over the geothermal formula?
[the spy at headquarters presses a button]
Mr. Socrates : Affirmative. Those are my orders.
Butch Cassidy : But we're only a few miles from Paris.
[the spy presses the button again]
Mr. Socrates : Nevertheless, those are my orders.
Butch Cassidy : Very well, sir.
[pets Elvis]
Butch Cassidy : And, uh, Elvis sends his regards.
Mr. Socrates : Thank you and, please, extend mine to him.
Wally : That's weird.
Merilee : It sure is.
Stephanie (Steffy) : What do you mean?
Butch Cassidy : Mr. Socrates. He didn't sneeze.
Wally : Exactly!
Butch Cassidy : I knew something was wrong from the beginning.
Wally : You're right. Somebody's been fooling around with Mr. Socrates!
-
[a police officer arrests both Butch and the enemy agent for climbing the Eiffel Tower]
Butch Cassidy : What can I say except "Merci, monsieur." I don't know when I've enjoyed being arrested more.
