It may be gross, yet let's fix it by busting or popping it!
blanbrn5 August 2018
This new "TLC" reality series "Dr. Pimple Popper" is one that's interesting and blunt and a little gross by showing actual scenes and procedures of dermatologist Dr. Sandra Lee removing things like moles, cyst, skin tags, and other lumps from parts all over the body from different people from all around the country! The show is unique for showing the way that these skin disorders can be removed and dealt with. Even though it's a little gross to see all of the liquid and puss come out from opened up cysts! Still Dr. Lee helps a lot of ashamed people who now feel better after having these growths removed as it gives them better appearance and self confidence! So give this show an appointment it's a cut above all other medical reality shows.

This Show Is a Great Appetite Suppressant
kellkell-560685 April 2019
Not sure why I watched an episode or two...or ten. I didn't eat for a day. The food comparisons used during the procedures...if you've seen the show you know what I'm talking about. It's so disturbing yet interesting to see the crazy stuff your body does. I do like her personality, she's hardcore. Doesn't seem like anything bothers her. Glad there's people out there like Dr. Lee, you can tell she enjoys what she does.

Procedures can be a bit stomach turning to watch, but you can seem to turn away. Dr Popper is funny in how she really enjoys popping cyst & etc.

The state of America's healthcare system
batmansleftnostril19 September 2019
Everyone who is saying this show is gross are the reason we have to have warning labels on bottles. Like come on? It literally warns you.

I'm really saddened by how many people go onto this show that have had something for 10+ years and a doctor won't remove it because it is cosmetic, yet some of the lipomas actually affect people's driving, movement, etc. The amount of people that have actually been turned away by other doctors, when the situation has been potentially life threatening. This show makes me feel a sense of relief that these people are finally getting help. But look how far they have to come to get this help? Hopefully this show can shed some light on the situation in America. We need better healthcare.

Don't watch it if you hate watching this stuff; some of us like it
hughjman5 June 2021
1) I think it's hysterical that in the lower-rated reviews, folks complain about this show being gross and want it taken off the air. Don't watch it then!

2) I have no idea why, but I just am fascinated by watching goop come out of things on this show. I'm sure it has to do equally with Dr. Sandra Lee's kind and comforting personality and technique. And you can learn a little.

Some people don't like football, me included.

People vary. Go figure.

Interesting!
lisaerickson6017 March 2019
This show is very interesting, As a medical professional myself I can see her fantastic technique and outstanding bedside manner. She has a wonderful, light sense of humor and she cares about her patients. If this is not something that you like watching...change the channel. Have you seen how she sutures so well that there is only a small scar left? That can change lives for the better. This is educational...so many do not know there is a doctor available to help them with such painful and embarrassing conditions. She is sensitive and intelligent. It works well. It would be wonderful if there were more doctors like her.

Heartwarming Show where Courage & Beauty are Skin Deep
nycboer-3771730 January 2019
At first I thought this might be just another gimmicky, sensational reality show. NOT the case! Patients come to Dr. Sandra Lee with the most extreme dermatalogical abnormalities that hinder & destroy their lives. These are ordinary human beings with extraordinary challenges that in years past would have destroyed their lives or relegated them to a colony of "lepers". Many are fearful of operations, have no insurance or just don't know where to turn. Enter Dr. Lee-an experienced doctor with wonderful bedside manner. She is not fearful of the most disfiguring skin condition and her caring manner helps her patients feel human again. She uses the latest techniques at her disposal to fix conditions as best as possible.

This is the part where people who cannot stand needles, medical fluids or ugly conditions should shut off the show. But for the rest of the audience who either have some medical training or just enjoy seeing humans regain their dignity, this is a wonderful show.

People who have "normal" skin can no longer take their health for granted. They sometimes complain about the tiniest imperfections, This program shows how lucky are people who simply have "non-malignant" skin.

Love this show!
sea-0421328 May 2023
If you don't get grossed out easily, and you enjoy learning about skin conditions, this is a great show to watch. I am amazed by some of the things that these people suffer from. I think the show bring some insight to human suffering. Dr. Lee is excellent with her patients And does a great job at treating their ailments. To me, this show is relaxing and interesting. It might not be for everyone. I find it to be educational and entertaining. Especially on the days where I don't feel like leaving my house, I can watch some of these episodes , and relate to the patients. It gives me a different outlook on life, and makes me appreciate what I have.

I love this show but Season 3...
I love this show but why are the last 2-3 episodes of the 3rd season, episodes I've already seen either in the first or second season? If you don't have enough material, repeat material as labeled under the original season/airing not the current season/airing. I'm looking forward to new material and have this series recorded and when I see "Season 3 episode 8 aired on 8-15-19" I assume it would be a new episode... but it's not and it's an old episode labeled as a new one. I don't like that, I feel cheated in a way...

What a gem Sandra Lee is!
jordanjanssen8 June 2019
You'll see every oddity here. Dr Pimple Popper is Sandra Lee, who rise to fame with your YouTube channel. She is an extremely caring and professional dermatologist and deals with all sorts of cases. The majority of her cases turn out to be fatty cysts, but she removes them from all over the body, where they have blighted the lives of her patients. Seeing someone go in with a lump on their forehead that causes them insecurities due to their appearance, then leave with a minimal scar and a rejuvenated outlook on life is amazing. It's a good job we don't have 'smellyvision' as some of those sebaceous cysts are extremely smelly! Dr Lee's fun outlook, kind and compassionate nature, and genuine love of her job because she literally changes lives is infectious - in a good way!

Gross
kimmygreen-217062 July 2022
I can't even stand to watch the commercials it's so gross. I mean who the hell wakes up one day and says I want pop nasty zits for a living. She must have something seriously wrong with her. The least she could do is take the crap off the commercials for those of us that have absolutely no desire to see that crap.

Not for everyone.
marjandb1 July 2020
I am one of those weird people who enjoys watching gross, surgical procedures. Dr. Lee helps people who clearly fall through the many gaps of the American healthcare system. She removes horrible growths at no, or discounted costs and doing so she betters people's lives. If you don't like puss, do not watch this show. If you do however, you will see many heartwarming moments.

Fascinating !
cekadah26 January 2019
First, Dr. Sandra Lee possesses a charming and caring personality for this type of reality show. Her projection of empathy for each patient seems honest and real.

I can understand how some viewers are put-off by the subject matter of this show. But I find it fascinating to see how the human body can create things that are grotesque and debilitating and how Dr. Lee finds a way to treat these humiliating growths to give each person some relief from their misery.

The second season is starting off great!

Yuck
mls418222 April 2022
Okay, it is none of my business if people want to watch a show about poor souls who have grotesque growths on their body. What offends me is I don't care to watch the show yet have to see their graphic preview commercials. It is as if they get off offending people.

Does the FTC exist anymore?

What's with the pop up facts?
tamalagreen16 March 2022
I used to like this show but now I only watch on Insta or YouTube. Between the massive amount of back story and the pop up facts that are distracting, stupid and get in the way of what you are watching, I just can't watch it anymore.

Fantastic
qvisla15 November 2022
I've been a fan of Sandra on YouTube for years. I like to se how she solve the different kind of health problems and mind problemsyou might get during your lifetime. It's hard to belive that some persons let decades go by without adressing their problems. Healtcare cost money in the US, so that is why this people can't afford an operation with their own money. So Sandra fix this problem for them free. She is a exelent dermatologist not afraid of getting help from other specialists when she get difficult cases.

The 8 seson was not so fun in Sweden because they blurred out the operation sequenses. That was a big misstage. I do like wtching operations in detail.

So I now watch the show uncensored on the net instead.

Dr. Sandra Lee is a lovely person. Very skilled professional. I love watching her sewing up after operations.

True Reality
juanruiz-6567915 May 2021
This series is one of about 5 that depict reality. All the rest put forth on Discovery, A & E, and Nat Geo are scripted fiction.

Lee has an excellent bedside manner and is very capable. Her patients suffer from numerous abnormalities. In the cases she can't can treat, she refers to specialists who can. It is truly a learning experience for the viewer, unlike the nonsense perpetrated by shows on Bigfoot, UFOs, ghosts, pawnbrokers, treasure hunters, and millionaires in Alaska.

Just one question
lucanator29 January 2020
Why would someone want a doctor who is more concerned with being a reality TV star then a serious physician? Vanity is not a characteristic I look for when choosing a doctor.

Good medical reality
undersiege6126 September 2023
Dr. Sandra Lee is the kind of doctor you hope to see. She is foremost very smart and talented, she has excellent bedside manner even considering the fact that this is a TV show. She's just witty and charming enough for TV, but she also shows that she truly cares for each and every patient. This shows includes follow ups on how the patient is doing, and the results are incredible. Her commentary is great, the information she shares is easy to digest. She gives the patients reasonable expectations. It is refreshing to see good reality TV. Hopefully this show continues on. Yes, it can be gross, but it's informative.

Over produced
mbourque7426 July 2019
As usual, the producers have completely ruined this show and lost touch with reality. Dr Pimplepoper is successful in YouTube because she films herself popping cysts, not covering a persons back story. Episode 1 of season 3 didn't get to the surgery until almost half way through the episode. Boring, going back to YouTube.

Seriously?? How weirder and creepier can tv possibly get?
brandoman4725 January 2020
I originally thought things was some kind of joke or I wasn't fully understanding what this was or maybe even heard it wrong... Nope! Apparently even with a nearly unlimited selection of film and movies now available, this was somehow thought up, and then even more strangely, actually made (apparently into multiple seasons now too)..

Even with the thousands and thousands of hours of film on basically any and every single subject and perspective that has ever existed, there are somehow people out there, or at least the writers and directors believe are out there, who would actually be interested in this kind of crap!!

It's absolutely mind boggling to think that with all the cinema that has ever been made, that anyone would possibly choose to watch this. I mean, seriously?? There is so much out there these days in every possible genre, that it would be absolutely impossible to coming anywhere close to watching even a fraction of it all.. How could anyone want to, or choose to, watch something this creepy and disgusting!? Especially when the time spent watching this crap is in the place of watching very good shows or movies!! It's not like someone could have watched every single show or movie, eventually running out of new shows and running into this having nothing else to watch... No, for some completely incomprehensible reason, people are choosing to watch and follow this. I came to this realization after hearing about multiple seasons being made and released!!

I can't imagine how bored and awful my life would have to be to sit around watching something like this! I actually feel bad for anyone who looks forward to watching something like this or doesn't have anything better to do!!

Although there are a couple things about this particular case and other similar programming, that bother me. Including the fact that it takes absolutely no talent or creativity in the least, and that they are literally dumbing down the viewing population with garbage that literally anyone with a damn camera and $200 could make at will!! No! The only thing that really really bothers me about this whole thing, is the fact that so many great shows have been canceled or cut short. We're talking award winning, excellent series.. and then realizing that while these great, incredibly brilliant and successful shows, that millions of people were watching, are being cancelled or cut short, while the network's flood the airwaves with vile garbage like this to appease the incredibly small population (probably in the low hundreds at most), of people who truly want to waste their valuable time (time they will never get back), watching something like this!!!

This just amazes me more and more! I constantly hear coworkers, friends, family, anyone really, talking about great shows and movies. I have never heard anyone talking about this show or ANYTHING like it in the least.. And seriously doubt anyone ever will!!

Repetative
bradhill-5563710 October 2020
Such an interesting show. Lipomas everywhere. But, the show seems to repeat the same characters (patients) in new episodes just in a different order and then the recut video is listed as a new episode. Then, they maximise the time with people that have never seen a doctor before and fixat on the slow-talking Southerners. Even 60 Minutes reuses video but they do it to bring updates to the previous story.
