May well be reminiscent of the elongated orange scourge nightmares which befell that gentlemen during his ill-advised attempt to compete with a machine in the blending of carrot juice. Jasper Rabbit, the protagonist of CREEPY CARROTS, seems to be attempting a similar one-vegetable diet in this story. It all smacks of George Booker's 1836 stage play W-o-y-z-e-c-k, about the infamous Real Life killer deranged by the Prussian military's all-peas diet.
