- In order to get Mary (Adelaide Kane) to agree to a marriage, Lord Darnley (Will Kemp) must demonstrate his loyalty when she voices her concerns about his true intentions. Catherine (Megan Follows) and Narcisse (Craig Parker) work to repair King Charles' (Spencer MacPherson) reputation after rumors spread about his strange behavior and threaten the throne.
- Lord Henry Stuart Darnley's engagement to Mary is announced, but Scottish Lord Taylor calls him dishonorable as his father and challenges him to a boxing match, which is accepted although Taylor is a champion, so James must train him in a few days. Darnley to bride Mary that he staged the fire rescue, but they agree to work together to win the match and gain the nobles' support. James investigates the identity of the "Loyal Watchman" who give anonymous tips, but isn't not the Knox couple. Leith's return is revealed but Luc Narcisse and already separated Claude can't annul their marriage after his father's manipulations, so Luc offers Claude an open marriage instead, which Leith finds hard to enjoy. Catherine learns Charles's behavior is a trauma from his time fleeing from the Red Knights. Castleroy and Rose arrive but Castleroy tells Greer that he's fallen in love with another.—KGF Vissers
