Need to catch up? Check out the previous The Handmaid’s Tale recap here.
In The Handmaid’s Tale‘s third installment, we get the Republic of Gilead’s origin story. And forgive me if you think I’m overreacting, but the fictional downfall of American society looks a heck of lot like the real now.
The erosion of rights. A complacent citizenry. Leadership that encourages a culture that makes those with hate in their hearts feel emboldened — heck, entitled — to voice whatever atrocious thought crosses their small minds. All of these factors contributed to a world in which women...

Meet the new Ofglen, decidedly not the same as the old Ofglen.
Just when we’d fallen in love with Offred’s subversive new pal, Episode 2 of The Handmaid’s Tale yanks her away. While I’d love to envision Moira and Ofglen and any other Gilead escapee possibly rallying help up north, you just know they’re probably enduring something painful somewhere awful.
Whatever excruciating fate befalls the Mia ‘maids, however, I’m sure it’s nowhere near as weird as what transpires in Commander...

See Offred.
Offred, and all the women of Hulu’s excellent adaptation of The Handmaid’s Tale, are royally — and often literally — screwed.
See Offred resist. Resist, Offred, resist!
The new drama, based on Margaret Atwood’s chilling novel, introduces its protagonist and starts to explain out how she went from working wife and mom in a world resembling ours to downtrodden sex slave in a society run by a totalitarian patriarchy. (Spoiler alert: The transformation is quick and chilling.)
But even though life is bleak for Offred and her sistren, there’s a spark of revolution glowing under those white winged veils.

Jason Alexander is getting the band back together! (No, not that band.)
At&T Audience Network has ordered 10 episodes of Hit the Road, starring Seinfeld‘s Alexander — who also created the series, along with Peter Tilden and Dean Craig — as Ken Swallow, the head of a “chaotically dysfunctional” family band.
Related Kingdom Cancelled After 3 Seasons
Described as the “greatest family band you’ve never heard of (yet!),” the Swallows “traverse the country in a cramped tour bus sacrificing privacy, comfort and dignity while in search of fame and fortune.”
Gee, what could possibly go wrong there?

Deadpool is the raunchiest and most experimental character in the Marvel Universe. So what does that mean when he teams up with Marvel's flagship hero Spider-Man?
Actor and comedian Paul Scheer figured that out thanks to his work on Deadpool/Spider-Man No. 12, which he wrote with Nick Giovannetti and features art from Todd Nauck. (It hit stores today.)
The writing team, whose supervillain animated comedy Bad Guys aired on Comedy Central, has recently been making forays into comics with issues of Deadpool and Guardians Team-Up. Their latest comic shows the Avengers throwing their holiday party — and predictably Deadpool's Secret Santa gift-giving doesn't go so...
