This episode is everything.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode unfolds in such a cohesive and smooth way, it was as delightful as it was dreadful with all the problems the remnants of the Franklin Expedition are facing all at once. And with their numbers decreasing and the time we have already spent with who is left, it is becoming more exciting to follow these characters. And I'm beginning to become somewhat attached to some of them, and actually care about what will become of them. It was great to see how sharp Crozier is, and figure out Hickey's lies. It was great to see him act upon it and act smart. It was great to see his circle of trust with people like Jopson, Goodsir, Blanky and his fellow commanding officers Fitzjames and Little. The tension between the survivors is rising rapidly and we don't know how reliable anybody is anymore. The paranoia and fear of betrayal is palpable, not to mention the last scene, the chaos unfolded in such an organic way, it was very fitting to see the monster return right as they sent Lady Silence away, this scene alone skyrocketed this episode to become one of the best if not the best so far.

When Mr. Collins comes out of the fog laughing hysterically, and then what follows is some of the best I've seen on televison in a long time. 10/10

One of the most intense episodes this far

Captain Crozier gets word of a possible mutiny, but Mr Hickey and the mutineers are at an advanced stage with their plan.

If like me you've been missing the beast, then fear not, you will definitely get your fix here. An excellent episode which begins in dramatic fashion, and doesn't let up for a minute. I would argue this is one of the best.

An incredible scene between Fitzjames and Crozier, where the two men have discovered a degree of peace with one another, Tobias Menzies and Jared Harris show their worth here.

It's enough to put you off tinned food for life.

Excellent entertainment, 9/10.

Really strong

Another really strong episode, this. It builds palpable tension throughout and completely unsettles you with the building suspense. The climax, when it hits, is ferocious.

Jared Harris captivates your attention
richiehodev11 September 2022
S1 of The Terror boasts an enviable cast of characters, most notably Jared Harris in the role of Captain Francis Crozier. His display of authority and humanity in this episodes speaks to the tremendous job Jared Harris does in embracing the role of the unenviable Captain in navigating the hardships of his situation and growing turmoil amongst his crew. Also, the excellent dialogue serves to accentuate the importance and urgency of what you're watching. Even without any sort of action or intrigue, these characters are nothing short of mesmerizing and they demand all of your attention.

This is the best episode so far in what is already an excellent series.

Terror Camp Clear

The episode starts with a terrific character moment between Crozier and James Fitzjames. How Fitzjames feels like a fraud.

The real tension is between Hickey's scheming and Crozier trying to get to the truth regarding the death of his men while out with Hickey.

The rest of the men are scared, paranoid and planning a mutiny. Hickey is the ringleader and they just need to get hold of the guns.

The isolation and stress is clear to see in the icy landscape. The monsters are the men but then the beast also decides to show up.

This could've been the climax. But there's 2 eps left

We finally see the creature in all it's glory in this episode. The 2nd antagonist for Crozier is officially donned in this episode as well. Which one will be his doom?

It's good, but you feel yourself being manipulated

I honestly do like this show, solid writing, fantastic cast and wonderful set's. This episode did give me that 'cringe feeling' however. It's one of those "What can go wrong, will go wrong, and we just have to let it happen despite the audience knowing exactly how it's going to play out" episode's. Again, I don't dislike it, it just felt a little forced and unoriginal.

Overall though, it's still a very good show I reckon.
