I like Silent Witness, but really found these episodes confusing - to be honest even at the end I was mystified.
I am pretty good at following a convoluted plot, but this had me flummoxed.
Good luck

Loved it, but please don't dress Nikki as a Granny again.

Well that was an hour packed with content. They seriously managed to cram in a lot of content, first off, the new opening credits, didn't like them so much, but they were due a change. What a start, talk about a Horror movie opening sequence, like The visitors meets The Cabin in the Woods. Great to see the team facing the hangover from the previous episode, Nikki's harrowing experience was remembered, its effects strong on all the team. The sheer joy whenever I see Julian Rhind Tutt in a show, but to get him working at the Lyell Centre, albeit for a short stint, genius, an actor overloaded with charisma, oh to have him as a show permanent! The story was perhaps a little confusing, I didn't quite get who was who, a second watch before the finale is needed. Great to see also that they've cut the 'what's in the next episode' scene too. My only gripe would have to be the 'costume' that Nikki was wearing, I mean Sarah Jane Smith a la 1975 or what!!

Nikki returns to work when a friend disappears. Jack has been avoiding her because he is filled with guilt about what happened in Mexico. A new man is brought to the Lyell, a suspect who is also a pathologist. Nikki has been asked to spy on him and report. A huge discovery is made at the end of the episode.
