Generally ok, except poor story ending

Very nicely ceated sets, best in class actors/actresses (most of them) but the end was kind of dissapointing. I'd give this a rating above 7 if the creators had worked a little more on the story. It takes you to almost realistic rural environment in historical Sri Lanka (1930s as it says).

Thumindu, Samadhi, Wasanthi, Jayalath Manorathna, Mahendra, Iranganie, Tony have done their parts almost very well. I intentionally did not mention Yashodha here because as I feel shes not been properly used in the movie. Same goes to Roshan Pilapitiya and Veena Jayakodi which who played a minor role here. Rohana Beddage was OK in her short-term appearences.

Some scenes were done realy well, bringing up horror and use of 3D animation should also be appreciated. Humour was also not bad. Can't complain about music too.

There were failrly new actreses (as far as I know) who acted as the bride and her (slim) friend. Their acting waa not that natural. Same goes about the bride's aunt too. Wondering if this is the best they could do even under a director. The actress who playeed bride's other friend (short) showed more talent.

The story could have been altered if necesary to make the end more attractive.

I'd still suggest to watch the movie because of its admirable points. I'd also suggest viewers to leave the hall by the time they start the big 'yaaga'/'thovile' at the end to chase the tree goddess away. This is because not knowing certain things can sometimes be better than knowing them.
