Adele has made a career out of singing about heartbreak, and her new album “30” will be no exception, as she explained in her recent interview with Vogue Magazine. But while she drew inspiration from her recent divorce from entrepreneur Simon Konecki, she also wanted to express how the split affected her as a mother to their son Angelo, who was born in 2012.

“I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, when he’s in his 20s or 30s, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness,” Adele explained to Vogue. “It made him really unhappy sometimes. And that’s a real wound for me that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to heal.”

Dance pop star Lady Gaga and legendary crooner Tony Bennett seemed like an odd combo when they teamed up for their 2014 collaboration album “Cheek to Cheek.” But it proved a successful match-up, topping the Billboard 200, certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, and winning them a Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Album. Now comes their followup “Love for Sale,” a collection of Cole Porter covers that is likely to be their last collaboration, and likely the last album that Bennett ever records since the beloved 95-year-old has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. What do critics think of his farewell from the public stage?

Lady Gaga will follow-up the release of Chromatica with a remix of the album, out September 3rd via Interscope.
The Dawn of Chromatica tracklist features contributions from Charli Xcx and A.G. Cook (“911,” which Gaga recently dropped the virtual reality video for), Rina Sawayama (“Free Woman”), and others. The remix album was executive produced by Bloodpop, one of Lady Gaga’s key collaborators on Chromatica.
Lady Gaga released Chromatica last May, marking her first proper solo album since 2016’s Joanne (in between, she contributed extensively to the soundtrack for A Star is Born).

With the Grammys eligibility period nearing its August 31 deadline, let’s take a fresh look at the contenders for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, which could be even more competitive than Best Pop Solo Performance given all the collaborations that are eligible to make the cut.
This category has numerous contenders who could easily get in. The locks — if you can call anything a lock at the Grammys — seem to be three. First, “Levitating” by Dua Lipa and DaBaby, which is the biggest hit eligible and is a remix of a song off of Lipa’s already-Grammy-winning album “Future Nostalgia“; its only problem might be DaBaby’s recent controversy concerning his homophobic remarks and stigmatizing of HIV/AIDS, which has already cost him a number of gigs but so far hasn’t knocked the remix off the charts.

The long concert career of singer Tony Bennett is finally finished after 70 years.
Bennett’s son, Danny Bennett, his manager for more than 40 years, canceled his remaining tour dates on Thursday. He said on Friday that Bennett’s two recent dates with Lady Gaga at New York’s Radio City Music Hall would be his last.
Earlier this year, Bennett’s family revealed that the 19-time Grammy-winner was diagnosed with dementia in 2016.
The younger Bennett cited doctor’s orders as the reason, although acknowledging his father was still capable of performing at age 95. The move has been made to avoid any falls or other onstage mishaps, he said. According to AARP The Magazine, the singer rarely speaks, and “when he does, his words are halting; at times, he seems lost and bewildered.”

Lady Gaga takes viewers behind the scenes during the filming of her surreal video for Chromatica song “911” in a new virtual reality experience via the Ceek VR app. The release closely coincides with the one-year anniversary of Chromatica, which arrived in May 2020.
The 360-degree Ceek VR experience was captured on set during the filming of the Tarsem Singh-directed short film. The stylish, fever dream-like visual finds the pop star waking up in a desert and heading to a town where she stars in a series of vignettes featuring oddball characters.
