When discussing what they should do with the money found at the opium farm Sonny jokingly says they should invest it in Bitcoin, Jason replies that it sounds too volatile. That is a very accurate description, this episode takes place in early 2018 when Bitcoin opened the year with a value of $14,112.20 per Bitcoin, it took a huge nose dive and ended the year with a value of $3,866.84. Had they invested the $10 million by the end of the year they would have lost $7.26 million. However it rebounded in 2019 and continued to soar for a time, peaking at a value of $63,258.50 in April of 2021, had they waited until then that $10 million would have been worth $44.8 million. Third quarter of 2021 saw the crypto market begin to crash, Bitcoin ended the year at $47,169.37, it continued to plummet in 2022 loosing over half its value, as of October 18 it sits at $19,562.87. In November of 2021 the combined worth of all crypto currency's in the world sat a little over $3 billion, as of October 2022 that value sits around $1.1 billion, almost two thirds less.
David Boreanaz's characters: Jason (from SEAL Team) and Booth (from Bones) are both fans of the ice hockey team "Philadelphia Flyers."
Close to the end of the show, two Private Military Contractors (PMC) were named: Black Rock, and Xeon Tactical Security. It sounds oddly similar to Blackwater which is the forerunner to Xe Services, and is now known as Academi. Also, Black Rock is the name of a hedge fund.
