If the rehearsals are any indication, Jack Benny's visit to this Dennis Day Show should be good for a lot of laughs. Jack shows up with a new contract for his radio singer filled with trick clauses. For example, Jack agrees to hire Dennis for the singing of songs, then in tiny print, the contract adds 'the mowing of lawns and the cleaning of the swimming pool, which entitles Dennis to use the same pool on weekdays at half price.' Jack further agrees to pay Dennis' travel expenses anywhere provided the distance was 25 miles from Hollywood and uphill all the way. Dennis demands a raise in salary on a cost-of-living basis, but the clause came out 'when Jack Benny's cost-of-living goes up, Dennis' salary goes down.'
