CLINT Family History.
Garry Clint, the man behind the family fortune is a Welsh man who lived in Liverpool in the mid-19th century. He was of modest origin. He fled the countryside when the industrial boom enabled the most adventurous to escape their moral and material misery. Garry was one of those. He worked in the mines and then in the ports, accustomed to physical work and tireless given his origins. He quickly assimilated the functioning of this new world and the balance of power. He understood that a new form of business through finance would provide him with opportunities to sell his intelligence effectively for his own benefit. Without faith, nor law, at the time and without great morality, it could constitute a sufficient comfort to live decently. This was his goal. He passed him, because he mounted more or less regular affairs, where there was cavalry, some abuse of social property, other rather contradictory loans. People in very delicate situations used his services and he took advantage of them. He knew how to return his benefits in order to stabilize his situation, which he considered precarious, however. A very pragmatic man, he spread his earnings in a wise way that allowed him to spare the future, he thought. So he made investments in Paris, London, Berlin etc. One day, his situation became very uncertain or even dangerous. He had no wife and very few friends. He disappeared overnight and no one ever heard of him in England again. In fact, he took refuge in France in one of his properties and made fruitful his fortune consisting of judicious investments in industrial or other companies, the world is being modernized. He got married, and had a child, Oliver, the father of Hanna, Ben, Ava and Nevinne. It was he who took over as soon as he became of age and once operational, Garry gave him complete freedom of management. Garry died in 1910, anxious to see the world evolve into war. Oliver structured family affairs based on these concerns and moved away with his family from France at the time of the Sarajevo assassination. He resettled the day after the Peace of Versailles. It was at this moment that he took Hanna by his side to start training, considering that she was the eldest and Ben too young for these responsibilities. In fact, he saw in Hanna the reproduction of Garry while he judged Ben a little too tender. Oliver and his wife died in an automobile accident, leaving the fortune to their four children and the management to Hanna, who until now has been well assisted by Ketty. Hanna has so far been able to contain Ben's possible ambitions and Ava's jealousy. Younger than she, they are quite close to each other. Nevinne too young is someone apart. Then, jealousy, megalomania, a fever of power. Hanna decides to eliminate Ketty because she has seen too many things and becomes a danger for Hanna. The story of his grandfather? The film begins at this moment in their lives.
