A pretty good episode, introducing one of the best villains of the entirity of Yugioh: Maximilien Pegasus (Originally called Pegasus J. Crawford; sometimes I wonder why the 4kids dub bothered to change his name, when the character was already from North America and already had an english name) A fun, unpredictable antagonist with a great design and a brilliant characterization; his love for cartoons was a rather charming quality, despite of which he was also able to be a pretty ruthless opponent, and the final battle against him is pretty much one of the highest points of Yugioh story.
Even as a kid, I was able to notice the animation differences in each Yugioh episodes, with some episodes looking much better than others; this episode had the direction of Hidetsugu Hirayama, who gave the characters a very elegant, almost "shoujo-esque" look, resulting in very visually pleasant episodes, and his absence in the final arc was definately a weak point, despite the very good story.
