Harry Styles will do almost anything to promote his second album, “Fine Line,” but some things take a bit of convincing. On Wednesday, regular “Late Late Show” host James Corden got his fill-in to take on a version of recurring segment “Crosswalk the Musical.” This was the first-ever “Crosswalk the Concert.”
While the former One Direction standout eventually came around on the whacky idea, we don’t think Beverly Boulevard will become a stop on his upcoming world tour. Still, for the sake of the show — and commuters — Styles performed his songs “Kiwi,” “Lights Up,” “Watermelon Sugar” and “Sign of the Times.” And he did all of it without his band, which the boy band alum didn’t seem to be thrilled about.
Styles’ ridiculous parachute pants made the performance, as did a ton of backup dancers. They didn’t let a little L.A. rain dampen their day.
