The final was played at Lord's on 14 July 2019, where England beat New Zealand on boundary count after both the match and the subsequent Super Over finished as ties.
India's Rohit Sharma ended the tournament as the leading run scorer with 648 runs from nine matches. Australian bowler Mitchell Starc ended up as the leading wicket-taker with 27 wickets, which surpassed the record set by Glenn McGrath in 2007.
