10. Bedeviled (2016)
An idea of mixing together good old supernatural entities and modern mobile apps sounded good on paper — but the execution turned out disastrous. Bedeviled relied on its somewhat amusing premise too much to care about not incorporating every teen horror cliche you could think of, so no wonder only 20% of viewers liked it.
9. Cold Blood (2019)
A reclusive hitman finds an injured woman near his isolated house in the woods and risks everything to save her. Despite having Jean Reno as its lead actor, Cold Blood fails to create compelling characters or story and as a mystery thriller, it provides neither mystery nor thrills. Only 18% of viewers found this movie worthy of a positive review.

Exclusive: On April 18th of this year, at a parole board hearing in New Hampshire, convicted murderer James Parker was granted parole for his role in the brutal 2001 stabbing murders of Half and Suzanne Zantop, a pair of married Dartmouth professors. After acquiring rights to Judgment Ridge, a work of nonfiction detailing the chilly story of those murders, producers Randy and Steven Toll have enlisted Matthew Gentile (American Murderer) to direct a feature adaptation from his own script.
Written by Dick Lehr and Mitchell Zuckoff, Judgment Ridge evokes clear memories of Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood, as it delves deeply into the inexplicable behavior that led to these ruthless murders. It was at age 16 that Parker conspired with his best friend to commit the murders of the Zantrops. He and co-conspirator Robert Tulloch came to commit the crime after plotting to put together the $10,000 they needed to move to...

Created by Ryan Murphy and Jaffe Cohen, Feud season 2 is a fictional retelling of a real-life American novelist and screenwriter, Truman Capote, and his group of socialite friends, or maybe we’d better call them frenemies. These two episodes depicted the beginning of Truman’s friendship with his group of socialites, whom he used to call the swans. Even though Truman Capote was well appreciated by his swans, a feud among them marked the beginning of the end of their relationship. Let’s see what led Truman to cut his ties with his swans.
Spoilers Ahead
How Did Paley Meet Truman?
The first episode of Feud season 2 opened in 1984, with Truman Capote wandering around a graveyard when he laid his eyes on a flock of swans swimming on a nearby lake. The scene shifted back to 1968, when Truman paid a visit to his closest friend, Babe Paley, a socialite married...

I remember exactly where I was when I discovered Philip Seymour Hoffman had died. I was at a revival screening of the 1979 version of Battlestar: Galactica at a Montreal theatre, waiting for the film to start when my email blew up. Here at JoBlo, whenever an icon dies, it tends to become a thread that allows us all to vent a little, and Hoffman’s death destroyed many of us.
It shook me up in a lot of ways, as I had just seen him at the Sundance Film Festival a few weeks earlier, where he had two films, A Most Wanted Man and God’s Pocket. In hindsight, it’s easy to say he didn’t look quite right, but honestly, I had no clue anything was wrong with him. Of course, in the days following his death, we learned that addiction had taken its toll on perhaps the most outstanding actor of his generation,...

Plot: Acclaimed writer Truman Capote surrounded himself with a coterie of society’s most elite women – rich, glamorous socialites who defined a bygone era of high society New York – whom he nicknamed “the swans.” Enchanted and captivated by these doyennes, Capote ingratiated himself into their lives, befriending them and becoming their confidante, only to ultimately betray them by writing a thinly veiled fictionalization of their lives, exposing their most intimate secrets. When an excerpt from the book, Answered Prayers, Capote’s planned magnum opus, was published in Esquire, it effectively destroyed his relationship with his swans, banished him from the high society he so loved and sent him into a spiral of self-destruction from which he would ultimately never recover.

Kix played their final concert ever on Sunday night (September 17th) at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland — just down the road from the band’s home city of Baltimore.
The hard rock vets were joined by former guitarists Ronnie Younkins and Brad Divens for what proved to be a celebratory, career-spanning set.
All of Kix’s biggest hits from their MTV glam-metal glory days were included in the set, most notably cuts from 1985’s Midnite Dynamite (“Midnite Dynamite”; “Scarlet Fever”; “Cold Shower”) and 1988’s Blow My Fuse.
Early in the set, Younkins joined the band onstage for the first two songs (“Atomic Bombs” and “The Kid”) before Divens took part in renditions of early Kix material (“For Shame” and “Mighty Mouth”) hailing from his stint in the band (1982-1983). Younkins and Divens then formed a triple-guitar attack with longtime Kix axeman Brian Forsythe for the four-song finale.

Michael James Gubitosi, more famously known as Robert Blake, died at the age of 89 in Los Angeles from heart disease. The news comes from Blake's niece Noreen Austin and was reported by Deadline. Blake was a Hollywood lifer, getting his start as a child in the MGM film "Bridal Suite" before assuming the role of Porky in the "Our Gang" and "The Little Rascals" shorts from 1939 to 1944. He continued performing well into his teen years, taking a brief hiatus in his 20s after he was drafted into the United States Army.
Blake reportedly developed a severe substance abuse problem in the years that followed but turned back to acting to get his life on track. He re-emerged playing more adult, dramatic roles, appearing in films like "Treasure of the Sierra Madre," "In Cold Blood," and a string of studio Westerns under the stage name "Bobby Blake." The third feature by Ali Mosaffa will probe the hidden corners where the histories of Iran and the former Czechoslovakia intersect. Iranian filmmaker Ali Mosaffa, a Karlovy Vary International Film Festival regular, introduced his latest project, Absence, during the festival’s virtual industry strand, Kviff Eastern Promises. Both of Mosaffa’s two previous features bowed in the main competition at Kviff: Portrait of a Lady Far Away (2005) and The Last Step (2012). The film’s protagonist arrives in Prague from Tehran to find out more about his father’s past as a communist expatriate in Czechoslovakia. Jean Reno in the thriller Cold Blood. Photo credit: Screen Media
French action star Jean Reno re-teams with Thierry Arbogast, the cinematographer on La Femme Nikita and,The Fifth Element, for action thriller Cold Blood. In this English-language French-Ukrainian film, Jean Reno plays a legendary hit man, the kind of role he has played well many times. With the help of cinematographer Arbogast, stunning locations, and a good supporting cast, they do their best to add style and suspense to this action thriller. Unfortunately, it is not enough to overcome the messy, nonsensical script.
Reno plays a retired hit man living in a remote cabin in Washington State when a young woman (Sara Lind), who has been injured in a snowmobile accident, suddenly turns up nearly on his doorstep. The presence of Jean Reno in Cold Blood is undoubtedly meant to invoke memories of better movies like Leon: The Professional and Nikita. Sadly, that only exacerbates how poor this is. Cold Blood is a cliched and thoroughly mediocre action flick, trafficking almost exclusively in plot points we’ve seen done before, and better. Reno looks bored, the filmmaking is indifferent, and the 90 minute running time drags by. It’s the sort of project that you can’t figure out why it got the green light? Who wanted to see this? The folks involved barely seemed like they wanted to make it. It’s just an absolute slog to get though. The film is a mix of action, drama, and mystery, though it doesn’t do any of that particularly well. When a snowmobile crashes in a secluded area, a young woman (Sarah Lind) is hurt. Dragging herself away from the wreck,...

Spider-Man: Far from Home is weaving an expansive web over the Fourth of July holiday frame, pushing new specialties to find space in upcoming weeks. There are a few brave indies hoping to grab some residuals over the long weekend, however. Sundance doc Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love will launch in several L.A. and New York locations. Distributor Roadside Attractions is hoping to ride a wave of music docs that have scored well in the box office with summer rollouts in recent years. Thriller Skin in the Game dramatizes the human trafficking in America. Specialty label Kandoo Films, which also produced the title, is releasing it day-and-date. Gravitas Ventures, meanwhile, is spearheading on-demand for the Armed Forces action-drama Above the Best. The producers are organizing limited theatrical events/showings for the feature, including one this weekend in Houston.

As the minutes slowly tick by in the lifeless thriller “Cold Blood,” it’s easy to mourn for what might have been. Jean Reno stars as Henry, a veteran hitman seeking isolation in a remote cabin in the Pacific Northwest, which could have made for a contemplative and melancholy reimagining of his signature role in Luc Besson’s “Léon: The Professional.” When Henry is forced to care for a mysterious, injured woman who interrupts his solitude, one envisions a close-quarters psychological cat-and-mouse game between two dangerous and deeply secretive people. It turns out we get neither of those, just a bland and forgettable B-movie that came and went quickly in France last May and looks to do the same upon its day-and-date release in the U.S.
Reno, who turns 71 this month, hasn’t burned through the credibility he amassed with the cool kids during his long-ago career peak working with Besson.

If you’re a fan of actor Jean Reno (The Professional), you might be interested in checking out his new action thriller Cold Blood. The first trailer has been released for the movie, and it looks like it will be a pretty good action flick!
The film tells the story of a legendary hitman named Henry, who “retires in isolation to the barren North American wilderness. When he rescues a woman from a snowmobile accident, he discovers she may be harboring a secret that could force a return to his lethal ways.” I guess retirement for Henry doesn’t go as planned as he has to decide whether or not to risk his own life to save this woman.
The movie also stars Sarah Lind as Melody, Joe Anderson, David Gyasi, Ihor Ciszkewycz, François Guétary, and Samantha Bond.
The movie was directed by Frédéric Petitjean and it will be released on July 5th.

"Tell me where she is!" Screen Media Films has released the official Us trailer for the indie action thriller titled Cold Blood, originally titled Cold Blood Legacy for its French release just last month. Starring Jean Reno as Henry, with Sarah Lind as Melody, plus a cast including Joe Anderson, David Gyasi, Ihor Ciszkewycz, François Guétary, and Samantha Bond.
