The story line here wasn't the greatest, but the guest stars were. It's fun to see these TV stars of yesteryear working and being funny as seniors.

Silly Fun

Thanksgiving at Murray's gives us Margaret (and her plus-one of choice) getting invited for Thanksgiving with the foodie clique at the retirement center. Unfortunately for the Cool Kids (but essential for the the viewer) the foodies are also unrepentant snobs who do not exactly have giving thanks in their hearts and minds for the holiday meal. The result is over-the-top, silly fun. Again, the guest stars of the week are such a treat as the faces are familiar and the comedic timing perfect. This outing gives us Charles Shaughnessy, Julia Duffy, and Clyde Kusatsu to provide big, broad, comedic performances. The writing was a little uneven for this episode, but the actors delivered so much more than the written word, with Leslie Jordan packing the most entertainment punch. Don't overthink it, just enjoy.

I don't know why I like this show. It is very silly, but makes me laugh out loud. I think it is because the cast of comic actors have such great timing. This week was especially funny with Julia Duffy as of course a snobby resident. I love the fact they bring older actors/celebrities, some we have not seen in some time.

The Cool Kids is a sitcom with a simple concept--- a group of friends hanging out together. They have silly "adventures" and great chemistry. I love it and giggle throughout. I don't need to ask for more.

The guy in the pilgrim suit who like to imagine what the macy's day parade looks like while listening to the radio and sid's parodies of songs are just great comedic touches. This is so relatable if you have ever been to a Wedding/ party where you are STARVING waiting for food, while the hosts acts weird.Although if I was sid and Margaret I would have nabbed some appetizers from the dog and hightailed outa there.
