A 14-part television series premiered on Finnish television in April 17, 1984 on Pikku kakkonen (1977) at Yle TV2 channel.
The animals often have traditional names from the old Finnish animal tales: the fox is called "Kettu Repolainen" or "Mikko Repolainen" and the bear "Karhu Mesikämmen". The people in the stories usually doesn't have any real names and are called "Ukko" (English: Old man), or "Akka" or "Eukko" (English: Old woman).
