The job of a voice actor, particularly in the anime world, is not easy. They have to go through every emotion and portray it exactly like the characters in the series. This was experienced by Natsuki Hanae, the voice actor for Tanjiro Kamado in one of the most popular anime and manga series, Demon Slayer.
Demon Slayer Mugen Train
Hanae has voiced a lot of characters in the anime industry, like Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul, Korai Hoshiumi in Haikyu!!, Vanitas in The Case Study of Vanitas, Gremmy Thoumeaux in Bleach, etc. But he has earned the most recognition because of his portrayal of Tanjiro, as it is probably his best performance as of yet.

A voice actor’s job can be pretty tough. This was proved to us by Aleks Le, the voice actor for Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling and Zenitsu from Demon Slayer. A few days ago, he shared a video where he revealed that the role of Sung Jinwoo put so much strain on his voice that he coughed up blood while voicing a fight scene.
Sung Jinwoo (Credit: Crunchyroll)
Although the character of Sung Jinwoo is normally calm and logical, he sometimes gets enraged and violent while fighting strong enemies or opponents during his dungeon battles. This leads to him screaming and shouting, thus indirectly affecting the voice actor. However, that is not the case for all characters.
As mentioned before, Le also portrays the role of Zenitsu Agatsuma in Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer. During an interview last year, the voice actor shared his experience working for one of...

Demon Slayer has been grabbing everyone’s attention through its fascinating animation. There has been no slowing down from Koyoharu Gotouge’s magnum opus. As the seasons progressed, the animation got better, and its popularity also increased. Ufotable did a great job with the animation, and fans are expecting more from them in the next season, which will take it one step toward the end.
While Ufotable has revolutionized the Japanese animation industry, Mappa seems to have done the opposite. The Mappa controversy was a massive issue in late 2023. The animation studio pressurized their employees to work for longer. With such problems, the animation should pay attention to what Demon Slayer producer had to say regarding the condition of animators.

After becoming renowned in the manga world, Mangaka Koyoharu Gotouge sensei’s Demon Slayer went on to conquer the anime world as well through its anime adaptation of the same name. And while the fan-favorite masterpiece story still holds an edge in both industries among other superhit and widely acclaimed projects, One Piece remains one of its strongest competitors in both.

Studio Pierrot, the production studio behind the hit anime series “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations,” is reportedly contemplating a significant change in the show’s format. In a recent interview, the president of Studio Pierrot hinted at the possibility of transitioning “Boruto” into a seasonal series.
While no official confirmation has been made regarding this shift, the president’s remarks suggest a strong interest in experimenting with a new format inspired by the success of other seasonal anime like “Demon Slayer.”
The potential move to a seasonal format is motivated by a desire to enhance animation quality and pacing, addressing concerns raised by fans about inconsistent animation and filler content in past episodes. Demon Slayer’s popularity has been constantly rising since it first began its serialization. It got a further boost in its popularity when it was adapted into an anime. The plot revolves around Tanjirou Kamado, whose family was killed by the Demon King. Later, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps and goes on a journey to avenge his family. Apart from the story, it was the animation that stood out the most.
Demon Slayer season one mostly covered the Water Breathing Style. Several characters from season one was shown to use it, including Tomioka Giyu and Urokodaki Sakonji. Even the main protagonist also trained to learn the Water Breathing Style. The Water Breathing Style was a visual treat to the fans, but there was a lot of hard work that went into bringing it onto the screen.

Among the several new-generation anime-manga series, the easiest and simplest storyline that can be followed and enjoyed belongs to Demon Slayer. One of the reasons for the series’ popularity all around the globe is its relatable characters, breath-taking animation by Uftoable, and easy-to-follow plot with no complicated power systems.
Tanjiro’s Red Blade
The series has introduced several characters to the fans who have become massive hits among the audience, one of them being Kamado Tanjiro, who is the main protagonist of the story. Overflowing with hope and innocence, he is one of the most likable anime characters ever.
It would be surprising to hear, but in the original Demon Slayer draft, Tanjiro was a completely different person and his appearance and demeanor were opposite to what we have now.

Since the trend of the anime and manga industry has peaked, many new anime and manga series have been released that have tried to be popular among the community. Most of these belong to the fantasy genre, and while some series like Demon Slayer or Jujutsu Kaisen have managed to do it, they still lack in some way.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009)
However, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, the masterpiece of Hiromu Arakawa, has managed to retain its title as the best fantasy anime series for such a long time. Its characters, storyline, and animation may contribute to it, but the main reason why it is considered the best is because of its power system.
As the name suggests, the power system of Fullmetal Alchemist is based on alchemy and its laws, which, once understood, make the series even more interesting for fans. Also, unlike other anime or manga series, the laws of...

Many people may think that Anime and manga are for children as the animation style can be cute and doesn't hold the same weight as a live-action drama series.
This is where you may be wrong, as the success of Crunchyroll, an anime streaming service, proves how popular Anime is with audiences.
Crunchyroll is currently the most extensive anime-only streaming service out there while still being the most significant anime service for fans of the art style.
This doesn't mean everyone knows what Crunchyroll is and how it gained success.
I bet most Crunchyroll users don't know how this niche streaming service became relevant in today's streaming market sector.

Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram, the 27th feature film of the franchise, is setting new records at the Japanese box office. The franchise ritually releases one film yearly, and most have never disappointed fans.
This time, Conan and Heiji are on a case to capture Kid before he can steal a Japanese sword. Coincidentally, someone is found murdered by the same sword. The plot and animation attracted a wide range of movie-goers to the theaters.
This is probably why the film broke box office records in 2024 and is still going strong.

Ranker is a popular place on the Internet where people can rank whatever they want, however, they want, and whenever they want. This is always a fan-focused ranking system and it is never officially tied to the people behind the projects in question. Not so long ago, our good friends at Polygon published a very detailed research-based piece about how anime is growing around the world and how the current kids, the Gen Z ones, actually love anime more than any other generation, thus confirming that anime is – indeed – one of the largest and fastest-growing fields in the world of entertainment, as witnessed by its growing popularity in the West.
More and more anime movies are being released in Western cinemas as well (which was not the case just 5-10 years ago), major streaming services are not just picking up anime series, but they are also producing their own anime series, and there is a growing trend of live-action adaptations of anime works. On top of that, anime culture is more present in the West.

The first slate presentation of CinemaCon 2024 was not a look at Warner Bros. or Disney films; it was a plea for how anime may be the unheralded savior of movie theaters.
It was a wake-up moment for the Caesar’s Palace Colosseum’s worth of local and regional exhibitors who hold little interest in the Japanese art form adapted by manga but are all looking for ways to make yen.
Presenter Mitchel Berger, Crunchyroll’s senior VP of global commerce, had a three-part plan to capture and keep his audience’s attention.
Step 1: Remind theater owners they already know the Sony-owned Crunchyroll from its “Demon Slayer” and “Dragonball” franchises, as well as Makoto Shinkai’s 2023 critical darling “Suzume.”
Step 2: Wow them with new content, including 10 minutes of the highly anticipated “Spy x Family Code: White.”
And last, but definitely not least: Inform the CinemaCon audience exactly what anime is.
