- Jet needs cash to buy his daughter a birthday present. To get it, he and Spike track a potential bounty to a brothel, but Spike has his own agenda.
- Ana gets the message to Spike that Vicious is aware that Fearless is alive.
On Mars, Spike and Jet hunt down a serial murderer, Abdul Hakim (Cali Nelle), while Jet tries to find an expensive talking doll for his daughter Kimmie's (Molly Moriarty) birthday. The doll in question is the Walking Sally and it costs $10,000. This doll is sold out in almost all toy stores. This is the one thing that Kimmie wanted, and Jet wants to get it for her. The doll costs a lot more than retail on the black market and Jet only has $45,000 left in his bank account. Spike and Jet took up the chase since the bounty on Abdul is $15 million. Jet is worried as the ISSP is already on the tail for Hakim.
Jet contacts his informant Woodcock (Carmel McGlone). Wookcock has footage of Hakim at his last murder site. During their investigation, they discover that Hakim, a refugee from Earth, killed his victims (all of whom were wealthy refugees) because he blamed them for leaving him and his parents to die so they could take their pets with them instead when the Earth Gate blew up. Hakim knew that the pets were like children to the rich kids. Jet figures out that Hakim wants to be seen, which means he is using a face changer. Jet uses a frequency scrambler which removes the effect of the face changer and reveals Hakim's real face. The scrambler is obsolete technology which is only used by brothels now. Jet says that there are only 2 brothels in Tharsis.
Jet goes to one of the brothels and switches on the frequency scrambler. Turns out Hakim was at a nearby gas station, and he starts having glitches in his face. Jet tells Spike that he and Chalmers were partners in the ISSP, before Chalmers set him up and sent him to jail for 5 years. Jet buys the boll from the guy named Benicio for $35,000.
Hakim comes into the brothel to get his face changer fixed and that's when Spike confronts him. Hakim runs to the roof where Spike and Hakim engage in hand-to-hand combat. Spike is hanging off the roof, when Jet arrives to save him, allowing Hakim a chance to escape. While saving Sike, Jet has to sacrifice the doll and throw it away.
It is shown that Hakim had stolen many dogs from his victims and keeps them in his accommodations. Hakim stole the dogs to kill them, but ultimately could not bring himself to pull the trigger.
Spike and Jet continue to track Hakim as they still need the money. They check the brothels and find that Hakim has a regular girl there whom he visits. From Woodcock's footage Jet determines that Hakim was murdering the rich folks with dogs. That was the common factor in all the murders. They find that Hakim has a job at the Amto farms. They find Hakim there. Spike and Jet talk Hakim into surrendering, but ISSP officers then shoot him dead to avoid having to pay his bounty.
Since the doll is accidentally destroyed, Jet instead gives Kimmie one of the dogs, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Ein; his ex-wife Alisa refuses the gift and forces him to take it back due to heavy luxury taxes on pets.
Vicious is forced to shut down his drug factory in response to the warning from the Elders. He shoots down every single employee working in his factory. Ana finds out that Vicious has been beating up Julia and tells her to stand up for herself. Meanwhile, Spike, having located Vicious' drug factory on Mars, sends his enemy a message by firing a sniper rifle into the bulletproof window of his car.
