There’s an official Warhammer 40,000 animated series in development called Angels of Death, and today we have a teaser trailer to share with you to get you pumped up for it!
The series was developed by Richard Boylan, who previously brought us the awesome Warhammer fan films Helsreach and Guardsman. He obviously impressed the team at Games Workshop.
Here are the details on the series thanks to the official announcement:
We’re bringing the grim darkness of the far future to life like never before. Get ready for epic battle, heroic sacrifice, loads of explosions, brutal close-combat chainsword duels, and some pathos-laden dialogue that’ll fill your belly with fire and stretch your heart strings to breaking.
‘Angels of Death’, will follow the visceral exploits of a band of Blood Angels Space Marines as they face Mankind’s enemies, death and worse – the dreaded Black Rage. To ensure the story is suitably grimdark,...

Whether you're familiar with the game Warhammer 40,000 or not, this is still an epic and visually stunning fan-made animated series that anyone can enjoy! It's called Helsreach and it was created by Richard Boylan. The series in an adaptation of Aaron Dembski-Bowden’s 2010 novel of the same name, which "follows the exploits of the Black Templar chapter of Space Marines as they race to defend the Imperial planet of Armageddon."
I really dig the dark and gritty animation style. It has a unique feel to it and it works perfectly for the telling of this story. I hope you all enjoy what's been released so far!
