Interesting idea, but really necessary it is not Warning: Spoilers
The title "To All the Boys Sequel Announcement" for this really short 2018 film is pretty accurate basically as here we have the two protagonists of the film "To All the Boys I've Loved Before", especially the female, announce that there will be a second movie coming out at some point in the future. I must admit I have not even seen the first yet, so yeah I cannot say much about the background, but I suppose the two characters here are getting together in this first film and maybe this second one iif about keeping their love fresh and intact, maybe also in the face of new romantic interests I don't know. We will see. Or maybe we won't because I am not sure if this got me curious enough to watch. It is nonetheless a pretty unique and creative idea to announce a sequel this way admittedly. You don't get that too often. I mean you did not have Ron Pearlman announce a second Hellboy film. Or I could say that about any other sequel as well and just exchange Pearlman for the lead actor / writer / director. So yeah, a nice little gift for the fans we have here admittedly, but rating this as a film the way I do of course here on imdb, it is not a positive recommendation obviously. Most of the jokes pre and past phone call are not working particularly well either, so best idea may be to skip this one here. They failed to make it interesting enough I must say for me to get at least a bit curious about the original movie, let alone the upcoming sequel. But maybe I am doing it injustice. I saw the original film here has a fairly good rating, so it is probably inferior compared to this fairly overrated little clip that does not even reach the 90-second mark and felt much longer. But it will probably have around 5 million views in 6 months on Youtube, whcih isn't shabby at all, so I guess if little-see music videos exist here, then this one has its justification too. And honestly with that running time you're not doing anything wrong if you decide to go for it.
