Another movie that's not bad, but not great either
Jackbv12320 February 2021
I didn't know there was a market for used wedding dresses, but the way Amanda does it makes sense. But we have another business on main street that can't afford the rent. I liked how that was dealt with at the end. Other than that, the story is a little thin and a lot of time was spent doing stuff to dresses sometimes with no dialogue. There weren't any great highs or low, or surprises.

I didn't like James for a while and part of that is something about Brendon Zub. But James grows on you and there's some chemistry with Edy Ganem. One thing about all the time in the dress show, also meant a lot of screen time for the leads to develop their relationship.

Quite good

Warning: Spoilers
Basic and not unexpected but wholesomely good. The protagonist has been hurt, and so has our will become hero. The seemingly perfect first man is refreshingly normal and the needy b f f is comic relief.

There isn't much of a budget but Amanda's clothes are awesome and I stan.

I nice Sunday movie with a nice ending.

Loved this movie!!!

Realistic, funny, and the actors were great! I don't get those who say it wan unrealistic. How? The romance blossomed in a very realistic way. I find too many of these movies have people fall in love within a week. This was not so.

So Unrealistic We Stopped Watching
mamachikn9 October 2021
The movie sounded interesting, but the shop owner, who isn't financially successful and who has a rent increase that may jeopardize her business, turns down a chance to put her business in the forefront of social media to attract customers. It was an honest offer, (given by the guy who will be her future love interest), an article in a major magazine, and a genuine chance of a lifetime to see her dreams continue. She's full of self-pride and decides she doesn't want publicity of any kind, thank you. She wants to stay poor. She just wants to make enough money to get by. No way to run a business and was so ridiculous a premise that we deleted it to watch something else.

Above average wedding/business movie
SunnyDaise4 June 2021
I'm not a fan of weddings, so almost didn't watch, but this movie focuses on what's really important. All the characters develop well, so the narrative has purpose.

The female character, her personality not very logical, convincing
RaniaALDMR1 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't like at all the shop owner personality; her reactions were often inconsistent, unrealistic and rude, mean to the photographer, the lead actor, who was really nice, too nice maybe? I did not understand the need for him to wear a dress to make her laugh.

Should a successful romantic relationship necessarily mean the complete submission of the man, his lack of virility?

Finally, Brendon Zub is underrated; he is funny and seems always natural in front of the camera.

Chemistry totally right
tmccheyne9 April 2023
Love, love this film just for the moments when the two are alone together. He makes my heart pulse, and you can see the real chemistry between them. Not always portrayed in some TV films. Loved it when they danced in the wedding dress shop.....magic. Keep with it, unlike the other reviewers comment. There is more depth to this story line than at first comes across.

Edge Ganem portrays a strong, independent woman, striving for her dreams. That portrayal feels genuine.

Also Brendon Zub, He is one of my favourites so I guess I can be prejudiced.

Want to see so much more of Brendon, he is so funny in this, and comes across so natural, as does all the interaction between them. I'd love to see a follow up to this film.

I've watched this twice now and it still feels fresh.

spring air
Kirpianuscus1 May 2024
I liked the first part and its spring flavors, the humor and fair dose of realism. But the line of wedding dress donaters was real...creepy. Indeed, nice acting, seductive story, some different nuances - from jobs to the dialogues -, charming scenes of teasing and the plants and the Amanda dates and the chemistry between actors.

The result is just seductive, reminding, sure, at level of drops , old fashion romantic films in which the collaboration changes, in decent way, its content.

The good points - the obstacles and fights to solve problems. The solutions - only formal . But is it a real problem ?

Short, grateful for the spring air of story.
