Good Enough
PennyReviews12 March 2019
3 Nen A Kumi: Ima kara Mina-san wa, Hitojichi Desu is a roller coaster. Nothing is what it seems in this drama. The only thing that was concistant is Suda Masaki's performance. I never singled him out before as an actor, but in this one he trully proved to be a great actor. It seemed like he even lost weight for this role. The rest of the cast were good as well. Now, for the story: it was fast paced and full of twists, sespence and action scenes. However, some twists were repeated towards the ending. And the story reminded me of the anime assassination classroom for the first episodes. But, overall it was quite a thrill and with powerfull performances.

Addicting Binge Watch Thriller With A Solid Heart at It's Core
fake_moviestar8 April 2023
Mr. Hiiragi's Classroom is an extremely interesting drama full of twists and turns, but at it's heart it has poignant themes and a heartwarming message. The style of the story is somewhat silly at times and a tad over dramatic, but it doesn't take away too much from what is a solid story with incredible acting (for the most part) from an extremely large cast.

At the head is Mr. Hiiragi, who's character is intriguing, dynamic, and charismatic at different turns. Masaki Suda is so very good, you truly cannot take your eyes off of him. The cast playing the students do a great job, with some of them being just okay actors and others doing an equally good job as the ML. In particular was the best friend of Reina, who was such a natural talent.

The soundtrack has some really beautiful moments, and I enjoyed the shock value scenes and style of the show. There were definitely some oddly over-acted parts and out of place moments, but overall as a whole, the drama was extremely good. I loved the underlying message as well. This was such a fun binge watch I finished it in two days and I will definitely be re-watching it again soon. I highly recommend it!

6 makes it good enough
melissaemeralds9 May 2022
It's comedic; it's dramatic... welcome to Mr. Hiiragi's Homeroom. Our lesson for today is the dilemma of misunderstanding and miscommunication. We'll also delve deep into the hot waters with the toxic students of 3A, trying to find reason in Kageyama's suicide.

... For my review, 6 makes it good enough. The flashbacks are dumb. They don't exactly flesh out the characters OR the setting, but I guess I'll take it. The show's an interesting ride, and I would definitely re-watch it if I had the time.

Absolutely everyone should watch it.

This series might be one of the most striking movies ever made about cyberbullying. Masaki Suda fascinates himself with his performance. This series reminds you once again that you have to think twice while doing something. Think, please think.

This is how you make a excellent social media critique.
chevalierdulys17 February 2020
This is a japanese show so a lot of people will never even contemplate watch it. I can understand that. Maybe, if it become famous, hollywood will adapt it? Probably not since it critizices social media which hollywood uses to control the masses..

Maybe netflix will buy it? Again probably not.

If you want to watch it, please bear in mind that this is a japanese show not us or European so don't go expecting the same mentality. In the essential this is a show about trying to find out who the killer was. In the end, after each episode or so, you will understand that this is much more than that. It's a show about social media critique, about young teens mentality that are destroying lives. It's about people not even thinking before typing in the internet which will stay for good. It's about fake news. It's about thinking mentality and the dark side of the world wide web. It's very refresh although a bit long.

I really enjoy it - if you want something different from "white man bad"; "orange-man bad" and other forms, please do so. This is a critique without racial, ethnic or gender bias.

A Masterpiece
hdyhhmdn8 March 2022
Throughout the series, I happened to feel like Mr. Hiiragi was lecturing me as well. The emotions were top tiers. While solving a case, Mr. Hiiragi taught his students about the reality of life and social media. Every episode showed different problems, different struggles and different ways to cope with it or to solve it. A great way to criticise how social media influences our daily life and how much it will affect someone's life. I think that everyone should at least watch this series once in lifetime.

Rollercoaster of emotions!!!
alyaawan15 November 2022
This start off pretty straight to the point where there's a lot of cut in between scenes which left me confused af but as the story gradually flow it starts to make much more sense and that's where the excitement really is, when you start to connect each pieces together one by one. The character development is chef's kiss honestly, the way they portrayed it at the end really shows how much the situation have taught them; to be a better person. The amount of plot twist and secrets will forever amaze me, almost every minutes there's a whole point of view is shown and how it changed. Kudos to the actor, without their acting ability I'll probably alrdy stop watching the first few episodes. To someone who wanted a short series and a hella rollercoaster of emotions, I one hudred percent recommend this!

Good dorama
IFADWORLD19 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This drama series discusses a topic that is a problem in the real life, cyberbullying. There are several pros and cons in this drama: + Unpredictable plot + The points in this drama are good, especially in the last episode. Suda Masaki is like having a dialogue with the audience. Bullying is a problem that often occurs not only in Japan but throughout the world.

+ Good cinematography + The VFX is pretty good for a TV drama. I can say this quality is similar to Kamen Rider series.

  • Unrelated comedy scenes that only destroy the seriousness of this drama.

  • The average actor is not suitable for the role of badboy and bad girl, and the impression is like forced
  • The anti-terrorist team is not as serious as in the real life.

  • Jumbled technologies. This story is set in 2018 and 2019, but all the characters use cellphones released in before 2017. Then there is also a scene when the character talks about DVD which was used as a medium. This is not common considering that other dramas that use technology, such as Bloody Monday already use SD cards even in 2008. Moreover, many of the latest laptops do not have DVD writers.

Very nice series but lame final
sado_tariki11 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
When Turkish version of that series appeared in TV, I watched it till the pandemic prevents them to maintain it. So I began to watch Japanese original to see what's gonna happen. I was already spoilered so I didn't get excited much :( anyway, despite this, series was really impressive. But the final was really lame when bookie said "real culprit is sns & mindvoice..." dude are you ducking kidding me? Already the concept of the series was social media based peer pressure. Even though the series was full of mysteries, a final like that...

Unique and meaningful story, fascinating to watch
khemass15 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The plot seemed strange to me in the beginning and the production of the film didn't look like it has a lot of quality; however, when I see how those kids behave at the beginning of the story, I was like...well, they deserve to be locked up and learned some lessons. I decided to watch the series, and it was the right decision!

The story is very interesting. It keeps us guessing what is in the head of Hiragi the teacher. As the story unfolds, I found that the film meant to discuss deeper subjects that drive problems inside these students and we see them forced to admit their own fault and learn from it. All along the way, the people in social media are shown criticizing everything, making fun with the situation, judging, blaming, and saying all terrible things through their comments. In the end, we find out that this is lesson for those social media users. They are the real killer and they, too, should be ashamed.

The performance of the cast overall was very good. The acting of the actor who plays Hiragi was very outstanding, deserving award. The CG and the effects were average but it is passable. The plot is very unique and we can't guess the ending. It has its exciting moments with twist and turn.

But I want to re-emphasize here that the best thing about this series is the important messages it is speaking to the audience in a powerful way. It is an important message and I respect the director, writer, and production team for producing this series. It doesn't look as good as Hollywood work, but it is more precious.
