Rukajärven tie (1999)
Blue-white power?
Ok, "Rukajärven tie" was indeed a great war-film with several astounding scenes, but something started to annoy me in the latter half of the film. Oh yeah: why do the "Ryssäs" die like flies and Finnish soldiers in slow-motion, like real heroes (which don't simply exist in war). Well, this is another veteran-pleaser from writer Antti Tuuri, but a lot better than "Talvisota" (Winter War). Very good, but not perfect.
Kauas pilvet karkaavat (1996)
This is Finland
Let Americans be Americans. Let them have their explosions, action, mainstream movie-making. Kaurismäki's film "Kauas pilvet karkaavat" is a slight parody, of course, but it contains a little Finland in it. Feelings are irrelevant, we Finns are more like Borg than "civilized" people, who can discuss about weather in every possible situation. I think everyone who comes to Finland, should see this film. It helps to understand.
La tumba de los muertos vivientes (1982)
Zombies, but not Nazi Zombies - what a Shame!
Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad! I payed 40 USD for this crap, and I didn't even get any Nazi Zombies (I'm a big fan of that genre): they were more of "Long-haired zombies from the Early 80s".
The effects were fair, although. You can do little miracles with plain paper mass.
