The Perfect Storm (2000)
Bryne, Norway
Its just to silly. The perfect storm is based on a true story. Fair enough, but the crew has no radiocontact through half the movie, and nobody survived. The crew has much fish which they want to bring home, they are riding the big waves as they appears to be heroes, the captain wants to go down with the ship...etc... Its all speculations, as they have no radiocontact, and its just to silly. And what about the rescue-personell from the helicopter. They float in the water with very big waves. Then one of them tells the others to go swiming (looking) for one of the missing personell. Yeah, right, its not exactly a swimming pool they are floating around in, or maybe it is? The movie could have been good, but there are too many speculations and heroes to let that happend, and the perfect storm is reeeeely bad.
Sleepy Hollow (1999)
horror at its best!
Tim Burton has created a monsterious horrormovie that has the right mood, wich is missing in the popular-horror scene as Scream and I know what you did last summer sequels. Sleepy Hollow is everything a horror movie should be, and if you dont like it, you dont like horror films at all.
The Grass Harp (1995)
Good actors still make the movie boring
Sissy Spacek - Stephens Kings «Carrie». Walther Matthau and Jack Lemmon many movies together, but «Grumpy old farts» and «The Odd Couple 2» is two movies which is amusing. Mary Steenburgen - «whats eating Gilbert Grape?». Edward Furlong - Terminator 2. None of these acters will be remembered for this movie. It is boring. The south in the year 1940. Collin is 11 years old. When his mother dies, he has to live with his relatives Vera And Dolly. Vera is a sad and boring woman, but Dolly is the opposite. «The Grass Harp» is a silent story abount human relationships, different opinions and such matters. It only gets boring and a little bit special.
I would rather see one of the best TV-series ever - «Ill Fly Away» which has everything that this movie don't have.
The Pandora Project (1998)
Surprisingly good for a movie like this
The Pandora Project looks (and smells) like an ordinary action-movie, but the film is quite good. The action is ok, it is exiting. The bad thing about the movie is the end which is predictable. Specialy when Erika get caught by the bad guy.
Strange Days (1995)
a movie which has it all
Strange Days is one of my absolute favourite movies.
The film has all the ingredients an exiting movie should have. Ralph Fiennes has never looked or played better, and helps the movie to be one of the world's most intense and best movies - ever
