Dead Man's Curve (1998)
The Ends and the Means
I think Niccolo would be proud.
This is not the best movie, through the first 87 minutes or so, but the last 5 makes this a good movie.
Take a look at the title, you'll understand.
Hercules (1997)
Disney Strikes (out) again
What can I say? Disney hasn't had a real good hit since Zeus knows when. I only watched half this movie because it was not good. Knowing the (true) story of Hercules made me think again how Disney will change any story to make it more entertaining. You know a movie is bad when you want the bad guy to win. James Woods was good in a bad movie.
The Truman Show (1998)
Must have missed something...
To tell you the truth, I think I missed something. How else can people say this is a good movie? Sure I think that the concept is a cool idea, and this is one of Harris' best roles, but other than that there is no reason to see this movie again. And all that Oscar buzz for Jim Carrey...How? Jim Carrey was better in Ace Ventura than this movie.
Patch Adams (1998)
Yeah...
No more needs to be said... This is a great movie. This is probably my favorite Robin Williams' movie. I have seen it twice and it was just as good the second time as the first.
Mighty Joe Young (1998)
Not surprising...
Considering the fact that it is a Disney movie, and I had seen the previews, the ending was a given...No surprises there.
In my opinion, there is only one reason to see this movie: the superb performance of Charlize Theron.
Reservoir Dogs (1992)
"Fiction" okay; "Brown" bad; "Dogs" The best
How can you make a better movie using what was used in this movie? This movie is for the 'thinking' man: no special effects and stuff like that just for amusement's sake.
Buscemi at his best, and Roth not that bad. Each man gives the aura of urgency, while Keitel balances them with spooky calmness.
