Smokey and the Bandit II (1980)
It´s OK...
This is an OK movie, not as good as the first, but Ok anyway. The story is even poorer and it´s really the same movie except they´re hauling an elephant instead of a truckload of bear. But anyone who´s seen the first will enjoy this one as it´s just more of the same, but slightly worse.
Åsa-Nisse i full fart (1957)
One of the best!
This must be the best Åsa-Nisse ever! The plot is great, the SFX rock and so does the music, plus John Elfström plays Nisse really convincing! A must see, I´m just on my way to the store to get the DVD-version, directors cut, with AC-3 sound. Göta Petter as Nisse would say! :-D
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)
I don´t think it´s THAT good...
Since everyone likes this movie so much I thought I should express my thoughts on this one. First of all Freddy isn´t himself anymore (see my comments on ANOE 2 for explanation). He talks too much in this movie and isn´t nearly as scary as in the first and to some extent the second movie. And there isn´t another movie in the series where we see the good ol´ Freddy that we all know and love(?). That´s really a shame, but apart from Freddy this movie has a lot going for it, the SFX are great and there are some cool death scenes (the puppet anyone?). Overall I think that this is the best movie after the first one, but It´s not even close to the brilliance of ANOE 1.
Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI (1986)
My first Friday, I like it!
This is the first FT13th movie, and I really liked it. Jason is a good maniac (not as good as the original Freddy though). And the makers seem to have left him alone over the course of the series and not tried to make him into some kind of lovable weakling like they did with poor Freddy after part 2 of ANOE. He IS evil, he WILL kill you, he WON`T make any wisecracks. And the bodycount was quite high, and that´s why we watch these movies isn´t it? I will watch more "Fridays" when I get the chance, that´s for sure!
A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985)
I really don´t think it´s THAT bad...
Everyone is sure giving this movie a hard time, and I agree to some extent, but at the same time there are som good points to it. Like the pool party for instance, that was a really cool scene. And we can´t complain about Freddy, this was the last real Freddy before the joke-making-lovable-take-home-to-see-mom Freddy that entered in part 3. But I do agree that this is one of the weakest movies in the series.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Best horror film ever...
I´m pretty new at watching horror and haven´t seen a lot (yet). But I have to say that this must be one of the downright scariest movies ever. The first time I saw it I actually screamed out loud a few times. And even now, after seeing it a few times, the movie scares me because of the general mood around the whole thing, even when Freddy isn´t around you're sitting at the edge of your seat because of the sound, the lighting, the locations and so on and so on. If you haven´t seen it, do so!
