Terry Tate, Office Linebacker (2002)
The kind of guy you wish you had 10 of around the office
I saw this for the first time yesterday and I've already played it 30 times.
My favorite part was the guy with the recycle bin.
"The pain train's comin'! WOO WOOOOOO!!!"
Priceless!
Huey Long (1985)
Very good, but could have been better
This film, while very good, could have been so much better. Many issues in Huey's personal and political life were briefly covered (e.g. his 1932 campaign tour on behalf of Hattie Caraway for U.S. Senator from Arkansas), other issues were skimmed over (Huey's exercise of influence over the running of Louisiana State University) and still other issues not mentioned at all (the incident in the men's room at the Sands Point [N.Y.] Bath & Country Club; how'd Huey REALLY get that black eye?). Interviews with people who were there with Huey added much perspective.
Last of the Summer Wine (1973)
When I grow up, I wanna be just like Compo!
I was only a casual viewer of this program until I heard it described as "the story of three elderly men who carry on like teenagers." From that moment, I was hooked and have enjoyed every minute of it!
It's a shame that this program wouldn't be given a chance on the commercial networks in the U.S., what with the way they target younger audiences.
