I bought this movie in widescreen and sat through the drama at the beginning and found it boring. And then I got hit head on with action and more action and even more action! It was amazing! Then I watched it again and found out what all the drama was about. The best World War 2 film! Get it in Widescreen! 2.35:1

Fighter Squad (1961)

Amazing

Spielberg was 14 when he made this film. He put documentary footage of World War 2 with his own footage filmed at the Phoenix airport. Even though the plane was on the ground the whole time, he moved the camera to make it look like the plane was actually moving in the air and he would actually imitate the plane's motion. He is the master of "making you think something's happening."

What Dreams May Come (1998)

Good . . . but then again

I rented this movie at a video store and watched on my stereo system. And, wow! Great sound effects! Great effects! Great great GREAT cinematography!!! I sat there in awe as I wondered what some critics had against this film! I mean, this was awesome!

But then something happened. Robin Williams goes to hell to find his wife, and that is just about when I started to hate it. It was long . . . boring. . . made sense but no sense in human matter. And I finally realised what the critics had against this film. It started off good, but when you walked out of the theater, you were disappointed. If the last 37 minutes could have been the same as the first hour, I would of gave it a 9.5 out of 10. But, as I left the living room, I gave it a 4 out of 10. Sorry guys.

The Great Train Robbery (1903)

Pretty Good!

I downloaded this movie and I sat in my chair for 12 minutes watching this western movie. And when it shut off, I found myself watching the screen in awe. If you put all the effects together, the train station effect, the hand tinting, the gun battles, the explosions, the stunts (or the throwing the dummy off the train) and the robbery itself, and then you add the year (1903) and the genre, you have yourself one of the longest movies up to that time and a pretty good one at that. Some shots were very long and tedious, but if watch the hand tinting, and you think back to Schindler's list with the black and white movie with the colors added into it, you just have to smile at the end! 8 out of 10!
