Panic! (1957)
A very good TV series; kept you guessing
Probably will never be seen in reruns. I don't think there were more than 10 or so episodes ever made. I recall my favorite episode that featured a little boy who was notorious for lying. He is wandering through a desolate area not far from the town where he lives and comes upon a truck that has fallen into a pit or hole. It's a circus truck. At the bottom of the hole is a man (the driver) with a broken leg who is trying to fend off a tiger. How does the boy (remember, a notorious liar) convince the townspeople what has happened and that the man needs help quickly?
"Panic" was also in syndication for one year, I believe, in the very late 1950's or early 1960's under the title "No Warning"

Reds (1981)
The worst movie I have ever seen.
Since the day I saw Reds when it first came out, it has become a benchmark against which I rate all other movies. It is the worst of all! It's hard to pick examples of what I hated about this movie, because NOTHING EVER HAPPENS IN IT. I sat there for the 3+ hours, waiting for something to happen -- and it never did! Yet you kept waiting because the movie kept giving you the feeling that it was going to break through and become interesting, but it never did!
When I saw it, I remember that there was an intermission at about the 2 hour mark. As we all left the theater, the usher said "I hate to tell you this, but there's over an hour of this movie to go." There were audible groans throughout the theater.
I can't for the life of me see what some critics liked about this movie. To me, it was a total cure for insomnia. I gave it a 1 out of 10 only because there was no negative scoring allowed.

Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Did not live up to its hype.
I was expecting to see one of the best movies of all time. I was quite disappointed. The plot was predictable, and the characters were stereotyped. We know war is hell. This movie did nothing to reinforce this image that dozens of other movies haven't already done.
